Head above the clouds suggests it’s going to be very tall, I reckon they’d want it to become a new major landmark of Blackpool - to do that you’d probably need to be larger than The Big One, but nowhere near the height of the Tower (as large wheels cost a lot). My guess is about ~300ft, put...
The high cost from GofG was from the development, theming, and building the actual buildings - the coaster itself if it were built on open, flat ground would probably have cost around $20million, even with the new type of controlled spinning seats. A Vekoma flyer, like FLY, would probably cost a...
Don’t know if this has already been mentioned:

I doubt they would spend an entire budget on one ride, as their proven strategy is a land with one major(ish) attraction and multiple supporting attractions. A woodie would be a good addition, but if they do it I would imagine it’ll be 1500-2000ft and as the anchor of a new land.
A dark ride...
I thought is was very likely not to be a regular sit down launch coaster as they already just built one of a similar size at Seaworld Orlando. And it was already likely considering it’s called the Surf coaster (and in surfing you stand up), and there were blueprints for new B&M standup...
If Merlin are wanting to increase the lineup of attractions based on Jumanji, there’s a chance they could strip the ride out and replace it with a clone of the ride at Gardaland, and make it an extension to Katanga Canyon.
I agree, if this is just a normal launch coaster with maybe the exception of some suspension in the seating then it is far too much like Ice Breaker - so has no USP and is very similar to another coaster in the park.
The only way it makes sense is if the Surf coaster is a next-gen stand-up...
Here in the UK it would be difficult to come across a member of the general public who knows what Six Flags is, I’d imagine this is also the case in Saudi.
The new area seems to fit right against the remains of Loggers leap, maybe suggesting it’s demolition is officially part of the the same project?
Also, the new boundary has a little jut out at the footer on the top right, which would suggest the footer is in the same place, which would...
Replace certain sections of tracks with steel inversions, and maybe also certain high stress sections of track, while keeping the rest of the coaster the same (or for all we know the rest of the wooden sections could be getting retracked also - with wooden track still).
This mix of wooden and...
I’d be skeptical if it were being made by anyone except Saudi, as they definitely have the money, and the engineering might not be done often on this scale but that’s only due to very few parks having the money to make a world’s tallest/longest/fastest coaster.
It is also looks as though it has...
I’m certainly no expert when it comes to noise surveys, but surely they have two things to check for, the noise of the lift and the noise from the train going round at speed. You could get the latter from Karnan, but not the former, but surely neither would be accurate if you went for a coaster...
Going off the concept art, I couldnt tell if the second to last element was an outerbanked turn of some sort of inversion, which I now realise is because the concept art is wrong, if you follow the bottom edge of the track from before to after that element, it ends up as the left rail. If you...
