    Legoland Belgium in Charleroi

So I just came across this article: Source If I get this right from my limited French, the final decision has been postponed to early spring, with a march 2027 opening still targeted. The region's minister of economy has hinted at some intense discussion currently going on between the...

Chessington World of Adventures planning indoor waterpark - public consultation on Wednesday 16th November

We all know Merlin do love to buy in bulk. With how similar this lineup seems to some LEGOLAND Water Parks (especially Gardaland), I wonder if this is some blueprint for indoor LEGOLAND Water Parks. These could be attractive additions for their Germany, New York, Japan, and Korea estates.

What does this track piece have wheels for? 🤨

Today marked the first day of operation of the Fire Dragon at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort after the collision of two trains in August. Theoretical: n/a (the only number I found online was 1,200 pph, which seems unreasonably high for a kiddie coaster) - 317 pph (average of 8, 1 train)

I did a quick stopover at Heide Park today and came across a surprisingly long queue at Krake. Theoretical: 1,050pph - 655pph (average of 14, 2 trains) Interestingly, when I entered the queue while the boards showed a 10 min wait time, average dispatch times were way above 2 mins. When the...

Legoland Deutschland | Maximus: Flight of the Guardian| B&M Wing Coaster | 2023

Actually, LEGO Mythica is built on the exact site that was previously intended to house the LEGO Movie World, but it got cancelled after the second LEGO Movie was such a disaster at the box office and Covid hit. I wouldn't rule out that a flying theatre like Windsor's will be added to the area...

WDW Magic Kingdom | Tron Lightcycle Power Run | Vekoma Motorbike Coaster | 2023

It's more about when Disney wants to open this up than when they can. I assume Disney World will be packed throughout the holiday season anyway. So why bother with it when marketing effects promise to be more substantial in the more low-season spring?

    Legoland Windsor Future Developments

A bit of a surprise one, this one. It seems like Merlin are throwing money left and right at the moment. Only Heide Park don't seem to get anything of it.

    Legoland Belgium in Charleroi

Well, I guess that caterpillar site as a whole might be similar in size to Efteling + parking lot. However, I guess no more than half of it will be used for the park, probably even less. There's going to be parking lots, room for hotels, an (indoor?) water park and probably even a Peppa pig...

    Legoland Belgium in Charleroi

LEGOLAND's business model focuses way more on overnight stays than other parks of the respective size. These short trip visitors do indeed have a way larger catchment area. Billund and Germany are especially reliant on both domestic and international tourism. If you take a look at LEGOLAND...

    Legoland Belgium in Charleroi

Well, that sounds rather promising. I wonder how many of the innovations that are planned for the Chinese parks will make their way to Belgium. If you had asked me a year or two ago, I'd have told you that at least five Chinese resorts plus a LEGOLAND in Texas and/or around Lake Michigan would...

But like... if you don't want an inversion, why even bother to build an inversion in the first place? The inversion is literally their main marketing argument which they have used in press releases so far. I'd be extremely surprised to see any innovation in the seats whatsoever for this coaster.

Walt Disney Studios Park further developments

Wow, that sure looks VERY Disney. I am wondering, though, if that park might feel a little too "smashed together" in the end.

Legoland China | Shanghai | Theme Park

Their master plan shows a flume ride to the east of the main hub. That's probably the Mack "torrent". Also, the list provided by @roomraider might be incomplete, as this plan clearly shows a dragon coaster at the southernmost tip of the park. Or might there have been some recent changes in...

Here's a late-night thought on Wardley's comment: Does the mere fact that this shuttle has got launches instead of lift hills count as a "very clever" solution to the capacity issue?

Universal's Epic Universe | Orlando USA | Theme Park

Colour scheme-wise, it would make a good fit for the Monsters land at Epic Universe. Isn't a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster rumoured for there?
