Can a coaster ever be too smooth?

Yes, I definitely agree about the new Colossos at Heide Park, it just didn’t feel like a wooden coaster should at all!

    Roughest B&M?

Yep, it’s definitely Rougarou for me, which I wasn’t expecting. For me, that was rougher than the stand ups at Carowinds & SF America last year.

    Best Euro-fighter

I’ve done a few of these now, might as well add to the list! 1. Fluch von Novgorod, Hansa Park - great launch, well themed, and smooth! 2. Mystery Mine, Dollywood - I’ve seen a lot of hate for this before but I really liked it 3. Abyss, Adventure World - a complete Saw rip off but much more...

Hansa Park | Highlander | Funtime Gyro Drop Tower

Yeah I did this a couple of weeks ago and it’s terrifying. What makes it worse is how it goes up so slowly, I kept thinking it must be at the top now but it just kept on climbing! The height is ridiculous and you feel very exposed. The drop itself wasn’t amazing, I was just relieved to get back...

What are some of the best hangtime coasters?

I rode Karnan at Hansa Park for the first time this weekend. Having avoided watching any POV’s since it opened, the indoor section at the end took me by surprise and had some pretty extreme hangtime in the inversion!

    Your B&M Count

I have done 46 so far, in roughly the order below. 14.9% of my total. Will be adding those from Heide, Netherlands, Walygator, Mirabilandia, Garda and Madrid this year, leaving just Shambhala to complete the Europe set! Duelling Dragons (Fire) Duelling Dragons (Ice) Nemesis Oblivion Air...

    Removal of G-Force at Drayton Manor (2005 - 2018)

The ECC has its ACM at Drayton Manor this weekend so there may be some news from there perhaps. I can’t see there being much interest from other parks in buying the coaster, it was pretty underwhelming...

Your Year in Review: 2019 edition on page 5

Thanks! I don’t think I’ll be beating that cred count next year lol I did like Apollo, it was a good fun ride but the other hypers (Nitro, Intimadator, Diamondback) were stronger.

    Milestones in Your Counts

100 - Psyké Underground, Walibi Belgium (April 2017) 200 - Flight of Fear, King’s Island (June 2018) I wasn’t purposely going for indoor launch coaster milestones! Heading to Liseberg for the first time next week and aiming to make Helix #300

    Your worst spite

I got spite on my US trip in June from Flying Turns at Knoebels (rained all day), Sky Rocket at Kennywood and Volcano at KD. Was pretty gutted about Volcano as that’s one I’ve wanted to do for years now. But we did well overall on the trip and it was a relief to get Steel Vengeance once it was...

    Canada&USA;LaR/SFNE/SFGE/Quassy/Compounce/Coney/Knoebels/Cedar Point/Waldameer/Niagara/CanWonderland

I did a similar trip at the same time as you. Enjoying this report and you got some great shots at CP there! We were at Knoebels the day after you on the Sunday, and it chucked it down the entire day. It kept the crowds away though and they had everything running as usual other than Flying...

    Intimidator 305 and greying/blacking out

I rode I305 last month and it was the first time I’ve properly greyed out on a coaster on that first turn. More embarassingly, I also started to great later in the day on Backlot’s upward helix! That took me by surprise with its intensity for a family coaster!
