    Phantasialand | Avoras | 2024

I have had five trips to Phantasialand over the years, and I have never been in that area with the maze & Wakobato once… I know there’s a lot of restrictions with the residential area right next door, but I guess if they could build a new theatre over that way for the dinner show, it would open...

This looks so so good. Time to start seriously considering a trip to China!

Lost Island Theme Park | Iowa | 2022 (Kanonen relocation)

It’s good to see this park taking shape! I’m hoping to visit in mid-June on a US road trip. Has there been any talk around a likely opening date so far at all?

    Walibi Belgium | 50th birthday surprise | 2025

This sounds promising, do you know what was still left to add from the initial investment plan? I was at Walibi in October on their reopening day and was really impressed with all the improvements since my previous visit in 2016. Kondaa was awesome, and Popcorns Revenge was a pleasant surprise...

Adventureland (Long Island) | Fireball | RES Roller Ball | 2022

Yeah these things have a tiny footprint! Just a shame that the ride itself is so dull. I rode Wilde Hilde twice tbf, but that was only as I was so hooked on the soundtrack.

    CoasterForce's Favourite Roller Coasters - 2021 Edition

Also 18/25 with plans to ride 5 more in 2022. I need to finally get out to Poland this year to get on Zadra!

    Skyline Park | New Attraction Developments| 2022-2024

Yes it was, I went in September and it seemed to be in pretty good condition. Apparently it is being relocated to another park within Germany. Skyline Park is absolutely huge as well, its a shame they couldn’t keep it and build a new coaster elsewhere!

One-off coasters you want sequels for

Instead, they got a sequel (prequel?!) to Wickerman with Colossos and its centrepiece theming + fire on a woodie treatment.. I second Karnan, I would love to see a new ride like it, but unlikely any other park could pull it off as well as Hansa did!

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

It's the "roller-coaster" spelling that also seems fishy to me! Any why produce an invite leaflet that has no details on the consultation itself or even a link to the website... that seems pretty pointless too.

    Closed Season Park's Nov-Feb

I’ve just booked Copenhagen for a weekend in December! Do you know if they open all the coasters for the Christmas event?

    Milestones in Your Counts

Kondaa was a great ride, but maybe not quite as good as I had hyped myself up for. The first drop is great (though I still prefer EGF’s I think), it has really strong airtime on the first hill and then tries to throw you out completely on the banked hill! The non-inverting cobra roll doesn’t do...

    What’s next for Phantasialand?

I was at Phantasialand yesterday, and the excellent quality of the majority of their rides makes the remaining older rides (Geister Rickshaw and Crazy Bats specifically!) stand out like a sore thumb! A new trackless dark ride in either location is surely the ideal next investment for the park.

    Milestones in Your Counts

After hitting 500 on Storm Chaser at Paultons in April, my 600 was Kondaa on Saturday for Walibi Belgium’s reopening day. I’d forgotten that my 100 was also at Walibi a few years back!

Are ‘alpine coasters’ a bit ****?

I did a few Mountain Coasters last week on a trip around Germany, they are good fun to get when visiting parks nearby. There is a very short one near Freizeitland Geiselwind that was part of a beer garden set up, perfect combo! We also made a trip to the SpeedBob coaster with the airtime...

    Last Cred Review

Karnan is incredible! One of my most recent new creds was Furious Baco. And against popular opinion, I loved it! The launch on that thing is so intense, and the way it maintains its speed staying so flat to the ground felt awesome, particularly in the dark at 11pm. I admittedly have a fairly...

The Smiler vs Colossus; which of the UK’s inversion record breakers do you prefer?

I am old enough to have ridden Colossus on its opening weekend and it certainly wasn’t at all rough or uncomfortable back then in 2002! I posted somewhere in another thread a while back (can’t remember where), but when it first opened the restraints were different & a lot less bulky. So much so...
