Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

I guess it was only a matter of time before this park happened. Michigan’s Adventure was FAR from the top of my bucket list, but we tied it with a fun weekend in Grand Rapids with the familiar gang. In between a couple of later-than-expected nights out, we were expecting a fairly chill day last...

T3 is done for at Kentucky Kingdom

They can do whatever they want to improve the trains... remove headbanging, free the upper body... but it wouldn't salvage how it rumbles through the layout with that track work.

Rank the B&M coasters in Florida

Looks like I got a backlog of these ranking lists... 1. Mako 2. Montu 3. Manta 4. Chinese Fireball 5. Kumba 6. Hungarian Horntail 7. Incredible Hulk 8. Sheikra 9. Kraken

VelociCoaster’s Mosasaurus Roll or Iron Gwazi’s Death Roll; which fast Florida barrel roll do you prefer?

Mosasaurus roll. I've ridden Velocicoaster plenty more than Iron Gwazi, so I know exactly what the moso roll feels like, with it being the highlight of the ride. I'm still having a little harder of a time trying to remember what the death roll feels like. Doesn't help that it's not even the...

    Best Coaster in Europe

Doing lists now? Don't mind if I do! 1. Piraten 2. Wildfire 3. Nemesis 4. Shambhala 5. Colossos 6. Fonix 7. Jetline 8. Stealth 9. Juvelen 10. Monster Should be sweetening that list later this year! EDIT: Forgot about Shammy!

    Best Coaster in Europe

Definitely some notable exclusions from this list that others have already pointed out. I voted "other" for Piraten. It's just some of the best airtime you could ever get, along with surprising laterals to make it even crazier. After that I would've said Wildfire. Obviously haven't done as...

    Tivoli Friheden | Vindfald | Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter | 2024

Probably would've been my last choice when it comes to intense coasters, but I'm happy they're getting a new one regardless.

    What is your favorite vekoma?

Oh boy, let me give a better answer now. Easily Fønix. I can finally see that Vekoma has a bright future. What a fantastic ride. Orkanen would actually be second funny enough. In fact, can my answer just be Farup Sommerland?

    SeaWorld Orlando | Penguin Trek | B&M Family Launch Coaster | 2024

Is this supposed to be them compensating how they ****ed up Ice Breaker being a family launcher?

Which B&M coaster model is your favourite?

The hyper coaster has consistently ranked high for me compared to the other models. Most of the ones I've ridden used to be in my Top 30, but as I expand my menu I've come to realize not all of them are amazing. That said, I've got three in my Top 30: Fury (if that counts), Shambhala, and Mako...

Can someone explain my VelociCoaster experience?

Sounds like that would've been an awesome ride. Tiny gap you say? Couple inches is nothing to worry about for lap bars. A lot of us prefer it actually. If it concerned you why didn't you just push it back down before the launch?

Accident at Gröna Lund - Jetline permanently closed update page 6

Woke up to this news, just awful. Must've been horrifying with this going on in the middle of the park.

I chose a good year to visit Toverland. 🙂

How many times have you been upside down on a coaster?

This actually wasn't a huge lift to figure out... well, it's a good thing I already keep track of all my rides on each coaster, and I conveniently kept a column of inversions for each one as well (although I stopped that column at around 200 creds... had to go add the rest, but that wasn't...

    Last Cred Review

It's an overwhelming ride. The more you ride it, the more things you recognize, and the more you appreciate it. Try to get more rides if you can before you leave... it'd be a shame if you only got a handful of rides after coming all this way. Hell, drop your family off at City Walk somewhere so...

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

No new creds, but a couple minor swaps and a couple additions that I never thought would belong up here. 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Skyrush 3. Voyage 4. Lighthing Rod 5. Piraten 6. VelociCoaster 7. Ravine Flyer II 8. Wildfire 9. Iron Gwazi 10. Twisted Timbers 11. Fury 325 12. Storm Chaser 13...

    Last Cred Review

Pretty much summed it up. This was my second event after doing it a few years ago, and it was a grand ol' time. It's amazing how well they take care of their woodies. What's even crazier is how good Legend and Raven have gotten. Raven has always been pretty good, but Legend used to be bad. Now...

Busch Gardens Tampa Future, including Scorpion's retirement (page 5)

Haha, I'm 0/2 for getting that +1. Would actually be pretty funny if it wound up at BGW (would give me another chance at obtaining the cred if it's there for a few years). Though I'm not sure why they would bother moving it if it's only for a few years, let alone longterm.

Do you prefer the new generation Vekoma track and trains, or the Intamin track and trains?

Vekoma trains can't compete with Intamin's. They still use some sort of vest whereas your upper body is free on Intamin these days. Not sure about the track. If we're talking aesthetics, I honestly don't have a preference.
