2024 has ironically become the year of the refurb: TTD, LR, Nemesis, Fire in the Hole, Shockwave, Loch Ness Monster, and whatever the name of that other Intamin launch is.
Somehow the 5 train ops on TTD worked as you'd have two in the station, two on the launch track (one sitting still behind the one actually being launched), and one unloading separately on the final turn. Stacking trains early as opposed to on the brake run actually wasn't a problem, especially...
Good work on collecting those lesser-known parks/creds. Being on the eastern side of Germany & Poland, that area seems like a bit of a lull that makes it tough to tie in with other parks on the western side. Sounds like a pretty solid long weekend to clump those together!
Looking forward to...
I mean, we can't be THAT impressed by it if they still manage to achieve it right? Opening a kiddie coaster once all the kids are back in school? Come on. 🤣
When the train exits the station and goes through the switch track, the next train will be in the station by then. Third train, which would have previously cleared the top hat would be sitting on the brake run.
Surprised you didn't sneak down for another visit to your beloved Liseberg!
Been hearing some really good things about the new Gerstlauer though. I was very skeptical of it during construction, and still concerned about the shuffling, but it sounds like it actually does some pretty cool and...
They look quite s*** honestly, especially just sitting on slabs of concrete... guess it fits with the aesthetic of the park lol.
However I do like how these are some cheeky +2s, and shouldn't be too much of a hassle to grab as the dual loading should ease up the queue.
Also I believe the Florida market is pretty tight right now. Disney seems to have Vekoma covered and Intamin (and I guess Mack) has been busy with Universal. Both those would've been fine choices for a family launcher or an Ice Breaker alternative.
Glad they're putting it by that hidden DC area around the corner. Was concerned it'd be a Joker situation and become one of the first rides you have access to upon walking in, but if I'm not mistaken this requires you to go all the way around past Batman and Dark Knight. Still gonna be a...
Exactly there. If the valleys had anything like that pothole before the retrack, oh man that must have been BAD. Still super impressed with how great it ended up being. Seems like CCIs can be really hit or miss depending on what shape they're in!
I thought they were doing a better job keeping it running this season before it bites the dust, but if it's still inconsistent that kinda puts me off.
What do you think of the ride? I've heard some really high praise, but I don't see it being THAT good. It looks pretty fun, so it's really just...
Looks good. I like the layout. Really interested to see how that inclined loop rides. Seems to take some decent speed in that off-ride, so could be some fancy forces there.
Lacks a bit of theme/landscaping for me. Although if they did go all out on theming I suppose it would look out of place...
I'm gonna say Karnan. Between the queue, station batching, and opening of the ride, it's probably the most well-themed experience I've ever done on a ride. What a buildup.
This, but I fear we're looking at an RMC Goliath situation where half the elements don't hit. I can forgive a short ride so long as it's a banger... hell, Stealth is amazing because the launch, top hat, and airtime hill are incredible and leave you buzzing. Goliath kind of wasted some of its...
Not sure that will entirely be the case as it all depends on how well the train runs. Hulk has definitely run faster in recent years, however when it reopened in 2017 it was still pretty similar to the old version.
I am happy to see no changes in the profiling though!
