Scandinavia Trip Report - Part 6: Linnanmaki, Finland

Not that it’s any of my f—ing business, but is there a reason you don’t drive or do you just prefer to avoid it? Not that you’d need to most of the time when there are other options. But your US trips have left me curious about it as public transit here is abysmal for park trips outside Florida...

Six Flags Great America | Wrath of Rakshasa | B&M Dive Coaster | 2025

They've taken good care of this park when it comes to coaster additions, both in terms of quantity and overall size. 2012 - X-Flight (only wing coaster in the legacy SF chain, and last new B&M they saw until Dr. Diabolical in 2022) 2014 - Goliath (only RMC woodie in the chain) 2017 - Joker...

Six Flags Great America | Wrath of Rakshasa | B&M Dive Coaster | 2025

That looks like it could be the best one! It's Vengeance's first inversion where it rotates more than 360 degrees. Could lead to some interesting whip for a dive machine. That last inversion is the one that looks suspicious. Seems to be an elongated exit from that roll... it might just be the...

Six Flags New England | Quantum Accelerator | Intamin Family Multi Launch Coaster | 2025

With it being my home park, had no idea that that area was supposed to have a theme. 🤣

Six Flags New England | Quantum Accelerator | Intamin Family Multi Launch Coaster | 2025

Was a little disappointed that it was just going to be a family coaster, but I'll be happy if it is indeed an Intamin straddle. I love Juvelen and Hagrid's, and even some of the tamer ones are a lot of fun just because of the rider positioning. Layout looks solid here too, plus the park needs a...

So much wrong in all of this... but glad you're able to enjoy them!

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

Ahh, so they DID paint the blended transition between the white and the gold... just in the wrong spot. Also not gonna lie that rusty orange looks better than the actualy color scheme.

    Milestones in Your Counts

50 - Stealth 100 - Voyage 150 - Fury 325 200 - Mystic Timbers 250 - Abismo 300 - Fønix 400 - Bobcat Was in the "region" for the 4th of July and decided to finally knock out the Great Escape (it's too far enough from Boston to warrant trip out there on its own). On paper, wasn't super...

    Tivoli Friheden | Vindfald | Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter | 2024

Never thought I'd see a sentence like this, but sadly a lot of the new B&Ms haven't been smooth.

    Walibi Holland | YoY | RMC Raptor | 2025

Recent reports of Wonder Woman have said it's been far from smooth, and I think Railblazer is going the same way. It's part of the reason why SFFT have been upgrading it.

Worst coasters you've ridden (Bottom 5/10)

Copperhead Strike? Really? I know some people don't like it but being among the worst in the world is an opinion I never thought I'd hear.

Good man :) I actually didn't notice this on my first two visits, but my last visit a month ago it surprises me with THAT. And then sometimes your ass lands on the seat divider! Brilliant stuff. Honestly every time I visit the park the ride gets better and better.

[Complete!] 5 days in the Netherlands - Day 5: Rob vs. Toverland

You would think that Toverland would be a pretty simple visit, but I too had a tough time there. No school trips, however it was a school holiday so every young teenager in the region was at the park, so there was way too much queuing for me. Had similar thoughts to Fenix. Well, at least I...

    Cedar Fair Parks Ranked

Didn't realize I was only missing three parks! I've got eight of them. 1. Cedar Point - What else? Still one of the best coaster lineups in the world, great setting, and fantastic operations. Can be a chore getting on some of the rides sometimes, but there's tons to do. 2. Knott's Berry Farm...

    Efteling Expansion + New Coaster

Well in that case I'm glad I did get the chance to see Raveleijn, but I'm happy to see it go/retrofitted to something else as I didn't find it that impressive. The set looked great though, so if there's a way to maintain some of the facades into whatever the new attraction is, that'd be great.

Walibi Holland + Fright Night Questions

I visited the Netherlands for the first time last year and public transit is very easy. I did a day trip to Walibi from Amsterdam no problem. It might take a couple hours each way, so just make sure you're up in time. I wouldn't worry about moving accommodations. I visited on a Monday in...

Iron Menace When your park doesn't have a new coaster for 16 years (discounting the relocated boomerang), anything substantial is going to be a win for the park. In the context of us goons? Not so much (and it doesn't help that one of the last coasters I rode prior to this trip was Baron)...

    Favourite beverage

Soju is great! Love how smooth it is too. For whatever reason it's actually been a few years since I've had it. Perhaps next time I'm at my local liquor store I should see if they have any. Have a bottle or two and you'll feel fantastic. 🤣
