Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I'm still having a hard time believing this park would be under the Six Flags brand. The areas in those renderings look far too nice to be in a Six Flags park.

Should Stampida (Port Aventura) really be RMC'd?

Why are people hating on the mine train? That thing was pretty fun!

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

It was big mega park time with Six Flags Magic Mountain. A few years ago I would’ve dreaded coming here, expecting to deal with the usual Six Flags bull**** but on a larger scale. And a year round park with this many creds gives more potential for unexpected ride closures and whatnot. Nowadays...

Should Stampida (Port Aventura) really be RMC'd?

I mean, the ride isn't "good," but the racing aspect makes it fun and there are some surprising drops sprinkled in. If it was just a single coaster by itself, I'd say have at it. But it also acts as a more family-friendly/intermediate coaster, so turning that into something a little less...

Walibi Holland | Eat My Dust | Zamperla Junior Coaster | 2023

It's a kids coaster, and the track seems to be complete. They're not gonna wait until the end of the summer to open a small ride like this.

Heide-Park to make its ”next major investment” in 2024

Dreadful coaster. Sounds like it'll be sticking around long term too. Not that they have any reason to remove it. Still seems pretty popular among the GP.

    Kings Island vs. Cedar Point

Both parks have great staff and great, but different, atmospheres, but the thing that elevates Cedar Point immensely over Kings Island is the coaster lineup. The lineup at Kings Island isn't as good as a lot of people think. Mystic Timbers is amazing, Diamondback is great, Beast can be great...

    Liseberg | Luna | Vekoma Family Boomerang | 2023

Looks very nice. Cool so see it make it up the spike pretty well. I don't recall Saven making it up that much.

    Drop towers or shot towers?

Do any other manufactures other than S&S make shot towers? Even then, there's plenty of drop tower variety to make them more interesting.

SeaWorld San Diego | Arctic Rescue | Intamin Family Launch Coaster | 2023

Layout looks good! Yes, they need some landscaping to really spruce it up.

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

Alright we back for 2023. I've settled on continuing this thread instead of starting a new one, but I've put together a table of contents at the first post. So if you haven't opened this thread in a while and it throws you to the very start, there're direct links to the parks you want to read...

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

So that wraps up 2022, which was easily my most exciting year for coasters! I genuinely had a lot of fun writing these up for you guys, and I hope you get some entertainment out of them. I've got more coming for 2023 (I just got back from a long weekend in California), but before I get those...

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

There was a certain coaster that finally opened last year that everyone had been raving about. And with my SeaWorld pass set to expire by the end of January, I had to make sure I put that to use. I started off 2022 with a visit down to Orlando, so it was only fitting to end the year the same...

20 years of CF-Lives - Your favorite memories!

Only got to attend one CF Live, but the 2019 Kentucky Kingdom & Holiday World Live was an absolute banger! It was my introduction to an incredible group of friends and led to some even bigger and crazier meetups. Had a ton of fun both parks, with highlights including Storm Chaser whoring...

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

Let’s keep the momentum going again. Made a weekend trip down to Atlanta at the end of September for another Buzzed Bars meetup. In addition to Six Flags Over Georgia, the plan was to hit up Fun Spot Atlanta for some RMC time, but we all know what happened there. But it’s okay, we settled for...

    CF Lives 2023... and beyond

Have a few thoughts on this and interested to hear what others have to say about it. First off, sad to see that the Lives might be going away. I've only been on one official Live, among the last of the US ones, but it led me to make some lifelong friends. Sure, the trips we've done have become...

Hutch's Trip Report Thread - Dutch Wonderland & Hersheypark

I had some business to take care of about 45 minutes north. I was never gonna end up doing a full mop up of the Jersey shore… it would’ve required more time but honestly hunting down a bunch of visa spinners, kiddie creds, and other **** doesn’t sound fun. But I figured I could at least check...

Coasters that carry their park’s coaster lineup

Yeah I was gonna mention Nemesis but forgot about it. This year is a great example of how big a hole it'll leave the park. There's solid stuff for sure, but even collectively the lineup isn't a big draw without her.
