Eyes can deceive. Maverick does NOT look like the physical beast it is. I remember being left speechless after I rode it for the first time. How could such a tiny ride that looked so slow give such a beating? I think the relative size of the first lap structure is making the 3rd lap look slow...
I can see how front row might feel sluggish immediately after the first inversion. It will be hemorrhaging speed going up that hill for the maneuver, and you'll be somewhat waiting for the rest of the train to finish the inversion before it can push you down the dip under the lift hill. Its just...
I wouldn't expect a a full POV until people ride it. I'm pretty sure the first full POV of Twisted Timbers didn't come out until the afternoon of Media day.

It looks to me like the GIF is sped up.... or more specifically, the frame sequence likely isn't complete. It seems to progress faster than actual footage should. I just don't think it can cover that much ground that fast.
--or maybe it IS missing frames, but its not sped up, and the missing...
The webcam is showing some lift hill progress right now! I'd say its going to start leveling off from where it is right now. It wont get much higher than that judging by the CP promotional material
So here we are again. The park will now be closed a lot and pics will be fewer and far between. Honestly, there wont be much more to see that the lift hill getting topped off.
