It shouldn't be that bad in August but who knows. It just really depends on the weather, since Finns like to spend their day in the sun, not so much when it is cloudy
About Vuoristorata, it is actually the attraction with the highest troughput, so the wait shouldn't be more than 10mins

It depends on the weather. If it's sunny, there might be 30min-1 h wait. If it's raining/cloudy you can get a 5min wait on Taiga. Other rides that have long lines are Linnunrata and Salama

During October Linnanmäki has an event called Valokarnevaalit (lightcarneval) where they decorate the park with thousands of lights and you can ride almost all rides in the dark (except Kirnu, the zac-spin and Hurjakuru, the Intamin river rapids ride). Valokarnevaalit is really popular, so the...
After riding Taiga a bit, I did notice a slight rattle in the back row at two points during the ride. The first being the myandering turns into the second launch, and at the tight turn next to the station. It really wasn't bad, but it was noticeable. I only felt it in the back row however, the...
Well thank you! This coaster really opened Finland to the international scene with regards to amusement rides. Even our local news stations have mentioned the international guests that will come here to ride Taiga! It really is like Poland 2.0

I get your point, and its's a fair argument since the level of themeing at this park isn't the greatest. However, it is noticeable that they really tried their best with this one and it shows. Just the fact that the soundtrack is playing in the que and the station shows improvement (which by the...
I'll have to disagree. The que and station are the most themed pieces at this park! Sure the ride itself has no set pieces, but the rest of the experience is great!

Not myself, but I actually met the host of ride review (can't remember his name, but the german-speaking lad) and he told me that he thought Taiga was better than Helix partly since the launches on Taiga were more intense. He had a hard time choosing between Taiga and Taron, but finally settled...
I totally agree! I do however wish that the crowds aren't too bad, since I wanna marathon this bad boy again after today!

I have not ridden a blitz coaster before, but I really liked the launches, the 360 degree twisted dive loop (extreme airtime) and the last in-line twist (was similar to the last inversion on Wildfire at Kolmården)

Just got off Taiga in the back row, and my goodness was it a blast! I got ejector airtime over almost every hill. The twisted dive loop was insane, and the top hat was awesome too. It felt like we got a rollback after both launches, both of which had a suprising amount of force to them! The...
Some pictures of Taiga the day before opening. I will update later today more pictures of the que etc., since I will be attending the media-day event & first rides!

What intrests me is really how much of this coaster will be new (talking about the wooden structure). It really feels like a new coaster than a conversion.

I was at Linnanmäki yesterday to look at the construction. Here's some pics
Also, today I saw Taiga running at 16.48 local time. At first(april) it was only being tested from 7-13, and later from 7-15. This means, that they are testing it sooner and sooner, probably to meet the deadline of...
What a trailer! The soundtrack sounds great, I can't wait for this!
I saw that some footers near the second launch were colored black. This is interesting, since those footers are located near the station. I'm wondering if maybe the Que-line could go all the way over there? I don't see any...
Uncommon view of Taiga
Also, the trains are launched from a rolling start out of the station instead of stopping after the station

Thanks! Yeah, they really were great. It showed that the two want to make this their star attraction, since they knew everything about it.

(sorry for double posting)
I remember more what the two had to say.
-There will be no test-seat at the entrance, even though it looks like one would fit there. They will have a booth for an employee who checks your tickets there
-they confirmed that the fast lane will go left of the entrance...
