2-year-old boy killed by alligator at Disney Resort

An alligator will crawl under that. I don't think anybody has said this yet - if Disney built a pond in Florida, why was it not fenced off properly. If there were no alligators in it when they built the pond, a good fence would keep them out.

    Maurer AG to close?

I also really liked Rip Ride Rockit's non-inverting loop, which Maurer were the first to build. The loop shaped lift on G Force at Drayton Manor was interesting as well, just a shame the restraints try to chop you in half.

The Big Sheep | Big One | Zierer Tivoli

Wow thats strange, it's not even a new thing. There is a ride in the states where screaming is banned.

Rodelparadies St. Englmar | Voglwuide Sepp | Terrain Zierer

Re: Terrain Zierer for Rodelparadies St. Englmar Why? At least it's the tubular style track and not the type they used to use.

SeaWorld to end Orca breeding programme

Yomiuriland | Twist Coaster Robin | Sansei Yusoki Co.

Looks like its being scrapped based on the picture. I'm confused because looking back at the accident it sounds like the anti roll back was at fault, not the track. What a disaster of a ride! Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk

SeaWorld to end Orca breeding programme

Sorry for going on, but I do feel quite strongly about this. If it's true that orcas roam over dozens of miles in the wild then I would say the tanks are small. There's no "intelligent line". I make my opinions on a case by case basis. Service dogs don't perform tricks like at SeaWorld. They...

SeaWorld to end Orca breeding programme

You're ignoring the fact that animals are of different intelligence. Humans are the most intelligent, whales and big mammals are also quite intelligent compared to insects, plankton etc at the other end of the scale. You can eat meat, use leather etc and still quite rightly against keeping orcas...

SeaWorld to end Orca breeding programme

In that case I can't comment on the level of care SeaWorld provides, when I visited I avoided the shows altogether. But, as Sandman has said, my main point was that you'd probably need a tank the size of Orlando or bigger in order to properly recreate a natural ocean environment for these...

Ankara, Turkey | Wonderland Eurasia | Theme Park

Thanks for keeping us updated! So many rides is a big gamble, hopefully it doesn't fall flat when it opens.

SeaWorld to end Orca breeding programme

The fact that these are massive animals which from the sounds of it would roam huge areas in the sea are being confined to a tank within a theme park is what makes it different from a zoo or a dog show. I'm generally against zoos and keeping animals for viewing (and saving endangered species...

    Alton Towers ride closures

Really can't understand why they're doing this, especially with stories like this http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/al ... ix-6893427 :(

Nanchang, China | Viper | GCI Wooden Coaster

Yep, looks like one of the most ambitious Chinese coasters yet. Whether it will actually be any good or not is another thing entirely

Accident at Cedar Point; guest struck by Raptor

I agree with you completely on this. But its still ridiculous that they are delaying the announcement and might change the name because of this. I don't think it's poor taste to announce the roller coaster after his death, especially since it was him who caused his death, not the park. If...

Accident at Cedar Point; guest struck by Raptor

There is a reason why restricted areas are restricted... I can only imagin how traumatic an experience it was for the riders of the train.

    Cedar Fair 2016

It wouldn't surprise me either, but I don't know how a park like Cedar Poit could pull it off. Giving people headsets, adjusting them etc would take ages. Boarding a roller coaster wearing a headset would be difficult as well. Surely this is just too slow for a Cedar Point ride? Maybe it would...

    Cedar Fair 2016

So just saw photos of the invitation to the launch event - it's actually a cardboard VR headset with a slot for a phone. Whats important is it says record-breaking (obviously, it's Cedar Point) and history-making. On the back it says "All will come into view 8/18/15". A VR coaster would be...

Nemesis: Sit BackWARDS? It's fright time.

Yeah, it is amazing but I'd happily trade it for a few months if I got to try Nemesis backwards. They never turned Swarm back around.

Nemesis: Sit BackWARDS? It's fright time.

I doubt it wouls be pleasant, but Nemesis backwards is something I'd try given the chance. And the temproary rotation of the back row surely shouldn't be a problem for enthusiasts?

    Never going there again!

Thats pretty much how I feel about Flamingo Land too. I suppose it would be a good day out for someone who likes zoos, but the amusement park just annoyed me. The operations are awful! Mumbo Jumbo was good, but it always had a long queue - even on the quiet days I was there. I would have taken...
