All three were running when I was there... but that was in 2013.
I don't understand how it is unsafe - it has operated since the 70s and nobody has fallen off?
I found it so rough, one of only a handful of coasters that I found painful to ride.
The only coaster as bad as it that comes to mind is the tornado at M&D's
Am glad it's gone since I got the credit last year
So I watched a couple of YT videos of Olympia Looping at Hyde Park, at full capacity trains are dispatched at 35-40 second intervals. By my calculation that's 2880 riders/hour. I can't think of any single-track coaster with a higher throughput.
Now multiply 2880 by £9 a shot - theoretically at...
It sucks but the HPWWO page has been reliable so far.
I'm trying to find another winter wonderland in/near the UK on the scale of Hyde Park but I can't :(
Thank you so much for sharing, great news:D
I always liked the look of these Jet Star coasters, they seem to achieve a lot more than the equivalent Pinfari Zyklon coasters do. I have yet to ride one though
When waiting in line for Detonator at Thorpe, two boys threw their shoes from the top of the ride, luckily nobody was hit but the tower was shut for 5 minutes
They weren't even kicked out of the park for it
I find him annoying so I don't watch his videos, unless as said above it's the only POV of a coaster or something. I do dip into the forums sometimes but I find the way it is setup with discussion threads for each park encourages conversation even when there is nothing to talk about. Also the...
I dont understand why they can't duel them with the extra security though? Everyone's pockets are empty once they reach the station.
Doesn't matter anymore though since they are closing soon
I would expect it to be there, it's been there the past few years.
Nowadays it's always spinning mice. Maybe increased safety inspections or fuel is more expensive?
Also I think the spinning coasters use fewer trailers.
I might go back this year depends on if I can save enough money and if there are any new credits. The Olympia Looping was great (except the restraints) but not really enough to justify coming all the way from Scotland when I've already been on it
