I may be bias towards Universal as I really want to see this park happen but the locals should actually be all for for this park going ahead surely? It completely puts Bedford on the map of places to go in Europe. Somewhere most people would never even consider visiting previously. Plus all the...
It is looking amazing!!
The more Hyperia grows the more pathetic Saw is looking.
Which ironically has the dark horror theme and Hyperia has the nicer light theme.
Can see a retheme for Saw coming in the near future not sure it works anymore with Hyperia next to it.
It is completely bizarre a theme park in Dubai themed to a football team thousands of miles away.
Not to mention it is a reskinned Bollywood themed park.
Curious to see how it ends up I am expecting a mess of a park but we shall see.
I genuinely thought the loop part was slowed down intentionally when I first watched it but as others have said nothing to be concerned about it’s the first run in freezing conditions.
Plus we can all be pleasantly surprised now when it runs through it at normal speed.
As much as the nostalgia...
Looks great!
Really don't envy the guys in the cherry picker having to lean over and connect the track pieces. Must be pretty cold up there today!
Have coasters always been assembled like this with the cherry picker method? I can't recall. A quick google and the tallest cherry picker is 187ft...
Edit: ^ Sorry to bring it back to trims I had already started writing before you posted 😂
Looking at the two sets of trims we have so far I would hope and assume that the ones on the drop only kick in if the train is severely overspeeding due to weather etc.. If these kick in every single...
Magnetic trims though aren’t they so can’t be turned off?
I really don’t like seeing them on a drop like that. I Just hope they aren’t noticeable like on Thirteen where you physically feel the train deceleration during the drop, don’t even mind that it’s slowing down it just doesn’t feel nice...
The inversion needs a name rather than just calling it a 'twist'.
Or 'The World's tallest and longest outerbank inversion' sounds better in the marketing.
The Colossus Cobra roll pit is actually a beautiful bit of theming which is often overlooked. Probably due to the state the park let it get into. Looking forward to seeing it refurbished hopefully they now keep on top of keeping the fountain working and clean.
Colossus overall is actually...
Remember this round wooden structure that appeared back in August?
Given the shape, I am guessing this must be the framework for the big eye on the new monster?
If so could make for a good near miss element after the downward helix maybe?
I would assume nothing will happen and it will keep the Nemesis Inferno name.
They should definately retheme The Swarm to Mandrill Mayhem Inferno though with aload of flaming flying monkeys flying through the sky imo.

In this article Bianca Sammut, Divisional Director at Alton Towers appears to confirm the “Nemesis Reborn” name.
‘This year fans will be able to experience the stand-out thrills of Nemesis Reborn for themselves.’
Probably as it’s so unique and is pretty intriguing how it’s going to ride, particularly the huge outer bank into the roll. I can’t think of a similar element anywhere else? Maybe on an RMC?
Way more interesting to any US goons than the B&M hyper would have been which everyone has seen many...
^ Splash Landings hotel guests used to get free entry but not anymore they stopped that years ago. Have to pay full price like everyone else now.
Which makes the decision to close it at 5pm most days even more stupid, perfect chance to cash in on the ticket sales.
I can't imagine it cost a huge amount to run, it was the old Alton Towers hotel swimming pool before Splash Landings opened in 2003, it was then converted it into the Spa. I assume it will now be turned into hotel rooms though which will probably generate more revenue than the Spa does...
Hmmm coveniently declares bankruptcy when creditors are chasing him for millions of pounds and a company he was previously a director of is being sued by Paramount..
Not sure if this got posted but Universal has filed a U.K. trademark for “Halloween Horror Nights”
