Some more details about the Colossus project in the new video from Thorpe Park.
Although personally found the Samurai news most exciting. Looking forward to seeing that.
I think the only real possibility would be if Blackpool Pleasure Beach resurrected the “Bigger One” plans with the TTD clone over the South Promenade.
No chance of this happening of course but plans at least existed in 2005 for a taller & faster coaster in the UK and it could be done with a Red...
If that park does get built, I don’t think so.
Universal are more like Disney in that they don’t really try to break any records in their parks but go for more themed immersive experiences over records and easy to advertise tag lines.
Merlin on the other hand will try to find any record...

The Washington Post are reporting that the 480 acres were purchased for $271 million in August.
I believe that’s the first time the cost of the land has been reported?
Shows how invested Universal already are at this point too. That land wasn’t...
I agree to an extent however all the UK theme park hotels are always very busy and they aren’t priced cheaply.
Merlin are constantly adding to the resorts, Legoland Woodland Village opens next year which shows how popular they are.
People have their UK staycation at AT/CWoA/Legoland on top of...

The Independent also going with the “trapped upside down” headline.
How does a story like this even make the news?
I bet the Japan media didn’t even report anything about it?
As room raider pointed out here both exist together in the same country in Japan so no reason why it would be a problem in the UK?
Warner Brothers may actually be encouraging Universal to build a UK Potter land as may generate even more from the licensing agreement?
Keeps their franchise alive...
The thought of a UK Universal park is incredibly exciting.
And surely from a business perspective it would make complete sense.
Put in a smaller park like the one in Singapore but with a Potter land and it will generate an absolute fortune on Potter merchandise.
^ I know that was strongly rumoured to be the case, thanks for confirming that’s what happened.
Can’t have exactly filled Merlin with confidence that Taziker are to retrack the whole coaster if they couldn’t fabricate just the inline correctly..
They must have considered to go to Intamin but...
Pissed up O as a back drop seems to be the plan [emoji23]
As has been said they used the Infinity logo all the time for their events and it was associated with TP.
The timing seems all the more bizarre when the infinity logo could have been used in marketing with the silhouette of Hyperia’s...
Exactly this.
The logo is getting some serious negative feedback online.
The fact they have hyped it up so much online I don't think has helped it.. A YouTube mini series reiterating the new direction the park is taking, it's a whole new era, with the home of feel good thrills, quoting Maya...
