In principle, I'd agree. But on the other hand Intamin had a pretty good run with their most recent installations (and those did involve new technologies). So, let's cross fingers you'll be spared that culinary enterprise. 😉
Back in those days when that ride circulated at German fun fairs that roll back would have been disastrous with (correct my if I'm wrong) up to four trains in use. Apparently something like that did never happen. Now since they only run one train on the course (that's correct, right?) it's...
I heard in several reviews that the right side of the train is significantly better. What a pity that the single rider line will almost always result in the outermost left seats.
It's also unfortunate that all this is most likely not at all clear to the GP, so some may not enjoy the ride and...
Always thought the water-filled dummies the manufacturers use are shaped in such a way that they are actually secured by the respective restraints of their trains. Maybe they have improvised here... Still, a bit funny they are not more careful about it given the history of the ride.
Still to be seen what they meant by "the look and feel of the coaster will evolve". Well, thinking about it, if they cut on the maintenance budget as well, there is certainly some truth to it... ;)
Have been at Tripsdrill last Friday. No further progress on site so far. But I've added two pictures of the cleared area (without the hedge obstructing the view).
BTW, that day, I saw Mammut being down for some time with people standing on top of the lift-hill. First thought it was a techincal...
It actually looks way more exciting than it rides. Personally I'd wish they would RMC it. It would have great potential. But I don't think this would ever happen. Though not overly exciting the ride is reasonably smooth and still quite popular.
Not sure one can fully judge by the POV, but doesn't it look relatively shaky even in the new track sections? Was actually hoping the new trains would do a better job than the (aged) original ones but that's not obvious at all from what you see. Curious to hear the first reports on its...
In the latest construction update in the efteling blog (from March 12) they state "najaar van 2024" which translates to fall 2024.
Actually, I was there yesterday and while I got these absolutely stunning views of the fassade and details (those posted above) it also revealed that there is...
Dynamite is reasonably smooth also on the outer seats, so I'm quite optimistic they have already solved the problem (and probably further improved it).
Absolutely, and I'm sure these ideas must have been on the table. However, I guess CP wanted to minimize the risks and just let Zamperla do the bare minimum in changing the actual layout. Actually, could be a wise dicision from a reliablility point of view but definetly a bummer when it comes to...
