You're so interested in coasters that you have passion without riding that frequently, I don't think getting into a "who is the most enthusiastic" contest should be a thing but for me I renew my interest by riding, you could argue that you're more enthusiastic than I am based on this. It would...
Hopefully this will be fixed (or at least improved) during the off-season, or that's just how it is and everyone's going to bring earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. 😁
That's a lot of rides! I didn't even get past counting on one hand! Do you think there's much difference in intensity when the weather started to get significantly colder in October? I ask because a friend of mine rode during Fright Nights and seemed to think Mako was the more intense ride...

I started the year with a trip to Florida booked for September and a strong desire to make Hyperia my 100th cred on opening day which turned out pretty well!
I visited Paultons, Plopsaland, Walibi Belgium and then a final mad...
One of the most exciting prospects of this park getting built is that it will give Merlin some actual competition. They've gotten far too comfortable.
When it comes to Nintendo properties I'd love a bunch of different ones, Pokemon, Hyrule from Zelda but out of all of them I'd really love a...
I’ll probably try and Eurostar it if I can. If anyone in the general orbit of London can offer a seat in their car I’d happily give them some money instead though. 😁
I imagine most coaster enthusiasts prefer a more active approach to their holidays, this was certainly the case for me. The problems start when that desire to be active means that you take on too much. I've got a classic all-inclusive-hotel-in-a-warm-country holiday in January and honestly I...
This is unfortunate as I imagine there’s a bunch of people in the same boat. It would really suck if they don’t get the attendance boost they’re hoping for and that then means less future investment.
Suck at mornings? Rope drop is overrated.
Rope dropping a park is a great way to avoid some queueing, but if you suck at mornings it’s overrated. Getting to the park well rested and not needing 3 coffees makes for a much better day. Plus queues tend to shorten towards the end of the day anyway.
Had an amazing time yesterday, was so lovely to meet such a friendly group of enthusiasts! Very interested in a Plopsa Live, January works better than December for me, although there is a chance it could clash with another trip. Either way, the next one I am able to attend, I will be!
Thanks...
This wasn’t my first time in Florida, I last went for a week at Disney in early March 2020. I found the weather a good bit more manageable at that time of year. This was actually before I became an enthusiast. The pandemic was in full swing shortly after I returned and for some reason going to...
It wasn’t a crowbar but not far off, it was a long metal tool they had hanging on the wall and they were able to use it to release the lap bars. It must have been pretty tedious though as they had to do each row individually! 😁
I recently returned from a big 2 week trip to Florida, I had an incredible time, although I am branding it the "Hell Swamp" (I will also accept "America's sweaty undercarriage") because the heat and the humidity were borderline unbearable in parts. I am possibly part polar bear when it comes to...
This is a fairly recent realisation for me:
Coasters in distant lands should not be seen as more desirable than the likely excellent coasters that are closer to you.
This seems obvious right? But what I mean is that I’ll often act as though American coasters are going to be better because it...
