Saying nothing....... ?
I've moved enough rides to know that a single method rarely works for everything. It all depends on the type of ride, how far it needs to go, what equipment you have available etc.
Companies like RCS specialise in ride construction and relocation, they do literally...
In my experience a rides reliability is 95% down to how well it is maintained. The other 5% of issues can be considered design flaws that even the best maintenance can't solve for more than a few hours.
All ride manufacturers have this trend, there is no best/worse company as far as reliability...
A lot of machinery in pretty much every industry gets tweaked and modified within the first few months and years of operation in an effort to improve efficiency where possible and solve niggly little problems.
Modifying rides (at least in Britain) is a different ballache however, even...
I may have missed it but I don't think anyone has posted the article from Here
Translation of the main points:
The first few pages of the discussion on TPR made me raise an eyebrow or two at the hypocrisy coming from a particular member.
I remember this person saying the same thing to me a...
To be honest, I can't say I am suprised at all. When I worked there, the entrance had no security checks at all and even though I had nothing to do with the security department, I still had to do an SIA self defence course.
Bag searches and metal detectors were only brought in after a ride...
Someone I work with went on the 'ole bone shaker last year wearing an Apple watch. The watch said "I think you have just had an accident, would you like me to call an ambulance?"
It would depend on what caused the misalignment.
If the foundation was a few mm out resulting in having to pull the track together, then correction would be prohibitively expensive as the foundation would need to be dug out and they go all the way down to the bed rock. If it was a fabrication...
Saw gave me a headache the last time I rode it. The majority of the ride is ok but there is a misalignment between 2 track joints at the bottom of the drop that makes the front of the car bounce violently. It kicks you in the arse first then slams you back down by the shoulders. That said, I...
If they replaced the entire sensor suite as well then I will retract my statement ?
I suppose the only way to know for sure is to compare the original designs to what has had to be designed from scratch for the updates.
I agree, post mortems are usually only done for unnatural, unexplained or otherwise unexpected deaths. But using the virus as an excuse to not do one on someone who was otherwise fit and healthy distorts the figures, causing more problems than it solves.
I've only just noticed your edit ?
You are correct in that COVID is an aggravating factor for other conditions and will lead to some uncertainty as to cause of death in those who have died with the virus.
My point however was that some people were having COVID as cause of death but they either...
I think that lockdowns and whatnot came way too late as this thing had at least 4 months to spread around before anyone took any real notice.
I'm not suggesting anyone underestimate the virus, I'm just saying people should stop living in fear of it, adapt to the situation, take precautions and...
True, but you can't guarantee that everyone everywhere will keep their distance from everyone else. And it is still debateable wether masks are actually effective and if they are, to what extent.
Thats the problem though, you can't prevent an infection from a virus that is soo good at being infectious with any of the measures put in place. The only way you can guarantee to stop infection is to lock everyone, and I mean everyone, inside their homes 24/7 for a very long time. Coronavirus...
Morgan have only replaced the trains bodies and restraints, the chassis and running gear is still the original Arrow.
Unless the rides entire control system has been updated as well then I would say it's only Morgan in appearance as the bits you don't necesarily get to see are still all Arrow.
Indeed, I was surprised at how many people had come to Flamingoland just for the zoo given that the opening wasn't advertised beyond the website. The reason why the beaches are getting rammed is because people are fed up with being stuck inside all the time and there is literally nothing else to...
