IOA | Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure | Intamin LSM Launch (Dragon Challenge replacement)

That’s a rather pointless comparison don’t you think?

Opinions on the best European coaster, and why

For me it’s Wildfire. The sheer scale of that ride alongside the beautiful natural setting is just astonishing to me. It’s currently my number one coaster.

    Tripsdrill | Hals-Über-Kopf & Volldampf | Vekoma STC & Family Boomerang Coaster

Are we sure this is Vekoma? Tripsdrill prides themselves on buying exclusively German rides, I find it odd they’d change suit now.

New Chessington Long Term Development Plan

They’ve done a chunk of the actual driving roads in this carpark. They’ve been widened and tarmaced with footpaths installed.

Carowinds | Copperhead Strike | Mack Dual Launch

^ Agreed. Taron is far superior to the Mack launchers.

Paultons Park | Tornado Springs | New Area | 2021

Baring in mind we’ve not even got track on site yet, I think the coaster being ‘finished’ is a long way off. So far they’re doing groundwork’s, which will also no doubt entail doing the works for the other attractions, buildings and perhaps even walkways too. I think it’ll be a couple of months...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Easy, have two arms down and then rotate the other two down? Then start to rotate two arms and then the other two.

Hansa Park | Highlander | Funtime Gyro Drop Tower

Hansa has a habit of building new attractions and then polishing and theming them the following year, so I’d wager this isn’t finished yet.

    Wild Mouse Brakes

Not all of the brake sections on a standard wild mouse are block sections. I believe it is one in 3 that are, the others are simply there to control the speed of the train into the hairpins as the whole mouse turn section is on a downward slope. So it’s a combination of them both. This is based...

Tatzmania Löffingen | Gold Rusher | Gerstlauer Bobsled (Green Hornet Clone)

Does anyone have any idea when this may open? I’m in the area in June and would be nice to tick this off too!

Walibi Holland | Untamed | RMC Robin Hood Conversion

Vekoma didn’t do the rise system for Wildfire either...? I really don’t get where that’s come from. Vekoma literally only supported with the steel framework on Wildfire’s lifthill and first drop...? That’s it.

Linnanmäki | Taiga | Intamin LSM Launch Coaster

It most likely won’t run with a two car train, Intamin just uses this set up for the pull through.

Hansa Park | Highlander | Funtime Gyro Drop Tower

I get that. That’s not really what I was getting at however. The thing is, the restraints that have been installed pass TÜV stringent requirements. What I was getting as is that maybe the other style hasn’t been checked and tested by them, and rather than building the ride and then having it...

Hansa Park | Highlander | Funtime Gyro Drop Tower

I think in this instance it might be a TÜV thing. Hansa are notorious for being well up on their safety codes etc. So it could be that the other style doesn’t tick all the boxes?

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

I think what we need to remember when it comes to Thorpe Park is just how much change happens in terms of management and direction. The park has gone through an array of park directors, new managers, new marketing etc and up until a couple of years ago didn’t have a dedicated park creative...

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

^^ Can I just point out that Chessington is excluded from the investment cycle program and operates completely differently. Also, Gruffalo wasn’t a large investment, costing only £2m.

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

I’m A Celebrity will be replaced by a series of Escape rooms I reckon, they’re in fashion and could be installed on the cheap with little operational costs.
