Kings Island | Orion | B&M Giga Coaster

This is new vekoma we're talking about. It's a very different company to what we've seen in the past. I have no doubt that they could build a fantastic giga coaster. After all, they very nearly got the contract for Hyperion. I still think this'll be a B&M though

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

Right, quick report on what was said during the TTSP event at Thorpe over the weekend (the same event that the 2020 concept art was shown off at two years ago). It seems that there's a lot of changes in the pipeline for Thorpe, with the new divisional director taking the park in a new direction...

Walibi Holland | Untamed | RMC Robin Hood Conversion

There was me thinking Lost Gravity used up all the potential inspiration Walibi could get from The Smiler. Seriously though, this beast looks incredible! Hoping to visit Amsterdam this summer so will have to try and drag my group over now the park has such a fantastic top 3.

Nagashima Spa Land | Hakugei | RMC I-Box Conversion of White Cyclone

Or maybe she just thought it looked neat?

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

Do you have a source on that? Not that I'm doubting you, I just think someone needs to update the List of Amusement Park Rankings article on Wikipedia. :P

Thorpe Park: What could the future hold?

Not just that, but the season after Swarm opened, the park saw a big jump in visitors, breaking 2 million for the first time. There are likely several factors in this but I'm willing to bet the focus on The Swarm's advertising from "Look! It's the apocalypse! Aren't we edgy?" to "Look! Big...

What was the first foreign roller coaster you ever rode?

I believe my first visit to a park abroad wasn't until I visited my mate in Germany back in 2014, so my first international cred would be Expedition GeForce. Feels weird thinking that was nearly 5 years ago now!

Crazy Bats VR Coaster - Phantasialand

Colorado getting a refurb feels like a matter of time, and with the current set up it desperately needs it. In fact, I'd argue that the transition of the China Town area to a more Tibetan style was not just made in preparation of the next big ride but also to make a rockwork-heavy ride like...

    Energylandia | Zadra | RMC I-Box

Considering the dual launcher is opening in 2020 I guess they had to spread their investments out a bit somehow? Either way I doubt this would change many plans as the ride will still be open in 2020 (unless some extraordinary disaster happens) and you'll have the bonus of a shiny new vekoma!

Universal Orlando 4th Theme Park is Currently in Development Code Name "Project 314"

I mean, it's not like the new park would be purely Potter. Sure, it would be wiser to draw guests in with new and more unique stuff, but having that in addition to the money cow that is the Wizarding World would definitely add depth in the park's appeal. That said, the difference between the...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Maybe it'll be a more thrilling take on what they did with Arthur? A roller coaster with spinning vehicles that can turn to face certain dark ride elements? (though they would have to adjust the xtreme spinner trains to have both rows facing forward - maybe they could raise the back row to let...

    CF Lives 2018

Hey I'd be up for something like that if ERTs are involved, sounds like fun. Would have to work around the smaller parks and the events they're holding, since that seems to be something people want to do, especially with the event being quite early in the month. Walibi is another thing I'd...

    Waterparks with coasters

^ Not sure, haven't been there in 10 years and wasn't exactly looking closely at demographics, but there did seem to be a good number of waterparks and things for families so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Waterparks with coasters

^ Was the first ride that came to mind! Weird to think that it's the biggest of only 4 currently operating creds in Portugal, with the other 3 being a family coaster, a mountain coaster and a powered coaster! With all the love their neighbour gets, you'd think there'd be a bit more, especially...

    CF Lives 2018

Overland would be a good finale, as would underland... :P I'm happy either way for Walibi. I've not been to the place before, but could happily just go there for Goliath and Lost Gravity alone, with the fab mazes as a nice bonus. As long as we have enough time to reride the two coasters over...

GhosterForce sounds absolutely fab! What weekend would it be on? Got a few friends desperate to get me to Scarefest, and they're all meeting up on the 20th..

    Best Introductory Coasters

My mum has always been terrified of rides - she has gone on a few with the rest of the family including Flying Fish, Vampire and even Stealth (she was told it was over too quickly to be overly intense.) On a trip to Alton Towers though, I managed to get her on 13 despite the intimidating...

Alton Towers | Wicker Man | GCI Wood

To me this ride screams "they're gonna call whatever we build unsafe anyway so let's just try to get them to piss themselves as much as possible". And despite all the marketing bull and confusing target market, that alone is making me start to really love this ride.
