Kentucky Kingdom planning an RMC Raptor for the 2021 season?

That is correct. It's the park's discretion where and how many rotation fins they place on their free spin. I believe that it was mentioned in the Dragon Slayer topic that some parks even have one side be less intense than the other.

    Adventureland | Dragon Slayer | S&S Freespin | 2021

It looks like the first half of the ride will remain standing for some time still, although it doesn't really matter because they can obviously fit a free spin in the space they've freed up with the removal of the figure 8.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

"Used Rides" dot com is also listing that Intamin multi-looper and they do have a price disclosed: $500,000. I don't recall seeing this website like I have Amusement-Rides so I can't speak to the validity of the listing. So anybody want to crowd fund an Intamin...

Indiana Beach Closes alongside other Apex parks (or maybe not!)

That'll be tough for them considering that essentially all of the rides save for Silver Comet have been removed. They would have to more or less hit the reset button, which would actually be a good thing for Fantasy Island.

Kentucky Kingdom planning an RMC Raptor for the 2021 season?

Your mileage may vary. I've ridden three and they were all a blast.

Kentucky Kingdom planning an RMC Raptor for the 2021 season?

This. Free spins seem like the exact type of ride that Kentucky Kingdom would look to add. It's got a tiny footprint and it's fairly cheap, but it's a roller coaster that will surely draw customers. It's the formula that Ed Hart preaches in every interview.

Why is Scream at SFMM so hated?

My one ride on Riddler involved a square wheel which caused a nasty vibration throughout the ride. I also had to wait 90 minutes due to a one train operation. The ride was closed due to Justice League construction during my second visit so I never got a second chance to understand what flavor...

And there goes the joke...sailing way over your head.

Why is Scream at SFMM so hated?

Are we sure we've been riding the same Rougarou? I don't recall ever having a rough ride on it.

Why is Scream at SFMM so hated?

Scream gets a bad rap because it's just so average in many respects. The layout is an average B&M layout. The ride's intensity is average for what B&M has done both before and after the ride was built. Pacing? Again, average. I first rode it back in 2005 and thought similarly as you, but I...

Kentucky Kingdom planning an RMC Raptor for the 2021 season?

I could totally see Jeff sending the original document to Coaster Kings JUST to make another T3 meme and get the fan base all riled up. He's good at that. Regardless...I'll gladly eat my words about raptors if it means one will get built within driving distance <3

    Hersheypark | Chocolatetown | 2019/2020 Park Expansion

Yeah, Skyrush is a VERY niche ride, and does not ride like a traditional hyper coaster. Recall the photos from early in construction when we realized that the first hill is less than half the height of the lift. The ride experiences couldn't be more night and day, which allows Hersheypark to get...

SWSA | Tidal Surge | Worlds Largest S&S Screamin' Swing

Yep. Completely different ride experience in a HOT climate. And don't forget that there are only like four of these in existence - one in the US that isn't even open yet. Plus, if SFNE could justify building two boomerangs next door to each other even though they're dime a dozen, there's no...

Busch Gardens Tampa | Iron Gwazi | RMC Gwazi | 2022

To build off of what @Hixee said, the ~9 million stated by RMC is likely raw material and prefabrication costs, and not labor or any of the surely long list of things that require payment.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Maybe Flamingoland's 10-looper drama has been strung out for too long at this point, but it's so odd how so many of Intamin's multi-loopers can't seem to dig in their roots. If my math and history are correct, eight of these were built across two iterations of the 10 inversion model and the 8...

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

To elaborate on what I was talking about, this photo in particular does a good job of highlighting what's to come: Steel lattice is beginning to rise around the turn that's going to dive below the turn into the second launch. I wouldn't be surprised if the steel completely encloses this...

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

I have a feeling there will be plenty of immersion. looks like a lot of excess structure for theming and rockwork is already beginning to go up along side the track. I bet once the ride opens, you'll hardly be able to tell there's a roller coaster in the plot of land where the first half sits.

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

Every coaster with a tophat and its associated support structure is like a snowflake - no two are the same...except for clones: None of them are the same. Some of the supports are half the height of the tophat, some reach most of the way up, others support the tallest point...

SeaWorld Orlando | Pipeline: The Surf Coaster | B&M Surf Coaster | 2023

I have a feeling that this ride was hardly affected by the pandemic from a timing standpoint. Work had hardly begun. Also, please remember that the suggested timing is completely an educated guess. We're no more confident in a Christmas 2020 or sometime in 2021 opening than we are in a 2022 or...
