My guess is that it's infrastructure related. I HAVE seen some talk that they'll be working to improve drainage in that area where the markings were found. This does hint at the possibility that EVENTUALLY there will be an active construction site in that corner of the park, but that could be a...
And that is almost exactly what I was hoping they'd do with the facade. They managed to make the pipes disappear over the top of the building, and that's exactly what was needed to make it look complete.
I'm thinking more along the lines of using the flag design on clothing or other for-profit products like napkins and paper plates, or modifications to the flag's design, like the thin blue/red/gray line flag design.
There's a similar sort of laws in the US, believe it or not. Obviously, none of them are enforced.
Strangely enough, I love The Big One's livery and I can imagine these Intamin trains would look great with a similar livery...yet I would be completely repulsed by any train draped in an American...
This guy right here. I have a feeling that we will eventually see a trim show up, but there is the possibility the mounting points were placed there as a just in case.
Your report allowed me to fondly remember my visit two summers ago! You said it well, Canobie's coaster lineup may be something to be desired, but it's a beautiful park with all the small park details that you love to see when you notice them (like Untamed's supports getting painted like Aspen...
Emphasis on this. I truly cannot fathom what a Steel Vengeance beater would look like. It would have to be on a similar scale size wise or just outright nutty...or both!
The pipes certainly add a lot more detail to the wall and do a good job at breaking up the featureless rust wall, but I really hope they either wrap the pipes around the corner such that they "disappear" or add some interesting looking cap pieces. Right now, it looks like they added pipes simply...
Looks like the mall is staying alive for the time being:

Every single air launcher like this that S&S has built looks fantastic, and they continue to show how flexible this product can be by adding inversions into the equation now. I really wish at least one of these would be built Stateside.
Like Hixee, I remember seeing the same on more than one B&M - I just can't recall which ones off the top of my head. Millennium Force also has trim brake mounts that ultimately weren't used. I'm sure we can find examples from every manufacturer but most aren't quite as obvious as these examples.
I've heard -1.8g for Skyrush and a similar number for El Toro's HILL (it deserves emphasis). Keep in mind that Skyrush only sustains those forces for probably three seconds at the absolute max, although it's likely that the rides only sustain a negative G force and instantaneously hit that peak...
I've been thinking about this recently as I try and predict what my life will look like in the coming years, including how much my income will grow and how many opportunities I'll have to go on a dedicated coaster trip abroad (number of vacation days, getting married and having kids, etc). I'm...
Ive been to two:

By the way, @sarahsmile,
You can combine replies into a single post by clicking reply on multiple posts before submitting your own. It's a nice forum feature that quite a...
Although I certainly intend to hop the pond for some English coasting sooner or later, I don't see that happening for a few more years. Despite that, I am still curious about what a hypothetical English cred run (in the most technical sense) would look like, and with the number of seasoned UK...
