Here's something I've noticed about the paintwork on the cobra roll that's really annoying me.
At a first glance it looks fine. But, look at the support I've circled in purple. The blue colour extends from the track onto the top of the support. It doesn't do that on any other support.
It...
Wait, so was the bluey/green track that Colossus eventually opened with just the old track that had been repainted and reinstalled, and not actually the new track? If so, where did you hear this?
It looks like the outerbank before the lifthill has started to be installed. It looks quite steep! (seems like that's becoming a theme with this ride!)

The Swarm or Galactica.
I could see Drayton's revamp of Shockwave next year being quite good too.
Flight of the Pterosaur if you're not feeling quite as adventurous.
Filming for Hyperia's TV advert begins today and it's not taking place in the UK.
This was all confirmed by Thorpe Park in the chat of Dominic Gardener's livestream yesterday evening.
Looking forward to seeing it on the telly in the near future!
I'll throw in my humble 5 B&Ms!
Nemesis Inferno, Thorpe Park - 4/35
Galactica, Alton Towers - 5/35
Oblivion, Alton Towers - 8/35
The Swarm, Thorpe Park - 10/35
Mandrill Mayhem, Chessington World of Adventures - 12/35
Hoping to get Nemesis in 2024! 🤞

The logo is fine but I just wish it had something more, it's a bit bland currently. I'm not sure what but for a theme park logo it's definitely lacking that "fun" element, if you know what I mean.
On a more positive note, I think the park's new direction and especially the snippet of soundtrack...
I'm really quite fond of The Smiler. My favourite moments were probably the back-to-back dive loops and the first inversion out of the station. However I didn't think much of the airtime hills and found the cobra roll and last couple corkscrews to be a little jarring. Still a very good ride...
2018
The Walking Dead: The Ride, Thorpe Park (if that counts)
2023
Mandrill Mayhem, Chessington World of Adventures.
Curse At Alton Manor, Alton Towers
That is all! 🤣
I'll stick in a second vote for Detonator. It's my favourite drop tower I've been on to date. It proves that size isn't everything and puts some much larger ones to shame. It's small stature can easily lull you into a false sense of security and the drop scared the life out of me the first...
