Apparently booking a day ticket for the 16th March online is £59, seems a little pricey. I was just wondering if that day is also unavailable for passholders to prebook. Not that I have a pass or intend on going, I'm just interested.
I believe the Sparkle Project at Thorpe is taking place over 3 closed seasons so we've got '25 and '26 to look forward to.
But yes, it would be great if they keep the park in a permanent "sparkly" state after that.
Side rant:
There's a couple pillars like this that with one side that hasn't...
I'd like to mention Colossus at Thorpe Park. All the tunnels are illuminated by ghostly green light and it runs significantly faster at night (after it's warmed up) meaning the four heart line rolls in the dark is a pretty demented experience.
We don't know that for certain. This might be a bit of a reach but the promotional email from today talked about "enhancing blood flow". Some are speculating that Towers have in fact found a way to bring the blood waterfalls back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The initial spark was September 1st 2018 at Thorpe Park, shortly after 10am when 11 year old me had just come off SAW: The Ride (first big rollercoaster) for the first time.
The heartline roll track that got removed (again) back in December has been reinstalled. Weather this is still the original Intamin track or Taziker's "take 2" is unknown. I would assume it's still the Intamin track though, Thorpe has enough on their plate this closed season already.
Source...
They probably just said that because it sounds better. The general public aren't going to care that the lift hill, station and breakrun is the original track.
This was from the comment section of the most Hyperia update on Thorpe's Annual Passholder Group on Facebook. I have an annual pass and took this screenshot myself; it's definitely legit.
We can throw that pinch of salt over our left shoulder as it was indeed the real Thorpe Park who replied...
Absolutely! To further dwarf Saw and Colossus I badly overlayed some of Hyperia's initial plans over FistedColossus' recent photo. She'll certainly be a big 'un!
