I'll take this opportunity to ask how in the world do they work. Like, do they have sensors along the queue that check for how full it is? Some algorithm based on how many people enter and exit the station? A station employee enters their own estimate by looking at the queue?

Is it me or does this have a really unique sound? It may be the track shape combined with the large fins under the trains causing a unique wind sound but idk it's a very pleasant hum the train makes while going by.

To expand on this, some of the more controlled/sophisticated slingshot rides use giant banks of springs to cause the actual slingshot effect. Perhaps this could be somehow combined with the good old dropweight system to make a faster system where even larger springs are stretched by a winch...

^ It definitely moves through the track faster than I expected, but that's probably because B&M track is so large that smaller elements look like there's much less altitude to gather speed with etcetera. Should be a fun experience for any age.
