ahhh... the US...
I'm happy that this coaster isn't send to the scrapyard. I know it from back when it was in the German fair circuit as "Dreier Looping". I love it when coaster history is preserved and doesn't get destroyed - especially if it was not because it's a bad coaster but due...
It seems to be the same as with Python in Efteling. Just not with the same love - but Efteling is unique anyway. The coaster just was something special when it was built and thus means something to the people. If your from another country it's a bit more difficult to grasp emotions like this. I...
If I'm not mistaken that's less than Python as Python got new supports (besides the track parts that remained completely unchanged like lifthill, breakrun and station). Pythons layout was recalculated and adjusted, as well. That'd make new supports necessary.
I'm pretty sure most countries in the world will not allow the single row lapbar on a new coaster anymore. With the length of Colorado Adventure you have to keep in mind that it uses booster wheel lift hills and thus features block brakes before every lift hill. Those are some wasted meters.
Ah okay... sorry... we know about this coaster for so long and it only got its own thread with the fake news of an incident during construction ?
On the other hand I totally understand that there doesn't need to be a thread for all of Energylandia's upcoming roller coasters. It'd be just too much!
I think this article covers the incident at Hard Rock Park - Midnight Rider was renamed to "Eagles Life in the Fast Lane" before opening and later to "Iron Horse". Unfortunately I was not able to find the original picture.
They posted official pics on Facebook, as well. And there is a footer. But as only one is visible I think it's for a special element like the turning platform.
True... I didn't see that by now. Efteling doesn't need to announce anything as they are usually just open 365 days a year. The Winter Efteling page is up with dates for this winter. But they seem to play it safes with preventing booking of tickets for after mid november. I think that's the...
Efteling the biggest park in the Netherlands operates the whole year round. Toverland does as well but not with the whole park but mainly its indoor sections. So this decision would still be relevant for theme parks.
My opinion is we don't need this thread. There are other threads to discuss everyones favorite coaster.
There is no "best rollercoaster of all time" because everyone likes different things in a coaster. In my top 10 I placed Taron, Kärnan and Untamed above Expedition GeForce and I mostly did...
I'm pretty sure they want to make whole coasters this way, as well. Or do you think on coasters with "launches, inversions, anything" (from the ad) only these elements would be steel? (not a rhetorical question)
Yes, the security videos mention that you have to get rid of all loose articles as cell phones and glasses and that you have to pass through a metal detector. It's quite likely this is in place so the park doesn't need any nets around the track.
