@CrashCoaster I don't know. Didn't ride either of the two coaster types. But I think I'd consider the Maurer Spike more interesting (even though I'd not count it as a coaster)
Both types don't seem to have the biggest capacity or are a coaster I'd consider an awesome addition for a park with...
Oh true... didn't notice or remember that. There's a corkscrew and another banked turn on the Shockwave where the final break run of the Shockwave+ is.
It's an unusual layout because Vekoma just added a second launch to the Shockwave layout in the cheapest possible way and named it Shockwave+. Just some little hops and curves close to the ground (not saying that can't be fun)
Softopening is happening. You can find a ton of photos. It looks... mediocre... A lot of fences where other solutions might be possible, rock themed walls and a lot of sealed ground. And a tiny little bit of green.
A user of SkyScrapercity has posted a Google Photos album where added quite a...
The trains would be the part I'd have the least concerns about in a hurricane. Once a storm comes up they should be able to put in a shed. Usually coasters are not running with higher wind speeds. Except... maybe we're all wrong and "hurricane test" is an insider term we just don't know.
@cookie I don't know about the parks actual plans but for most parks in the last few years soft-opening meant the attraction is basically open but extended periods of downtime are possible because it never ran all day and it didn't run too much with visitors. Because of that it's not really...
I'm deeply sorry for the chinese comment. That was not fitting and even somewhat racist. I didn't mean it that way. It's something you say in tech (you shouldn't say it there either!) and it wasn't focussed on theme parks at all. I really agree that I saw quite a lot of chinese parks that look...
If that's how they implement the concept of Jora Vision I don't have any more questions. As Jora Vision I'd not like to be openly attachted to this project if it strays so far from the concept. I hope to be wrong but everything I've seen so far looks like a cheap chinese knockoff of the designs...
@ChristianPalsson To stop the train from cresting the lift hill you simply evac the train from the front thus this is impossible as the weight of the passengers keep the train on the lift hill. If you evac the guests in the back first the train might tip over the lift hill as it once happend...
I assume he means the metal platform that is used for evacuation?
(I only looked for it in the POVs so if you look at the correct answer it's obvious why Christian was not able to see it and I guessed for the only other metal piece around the top of the lifthill)
If you look at the map you basically only see some rocks on ground level and only two or three tunnels. I feel like if there was really extensive theming they'd have added it to the map. Usually maps have a tendency to show more theming than actually present. So I don't have any high hopes for...
Die Bahn sieht super aus. Sehr Kompakt und etwas strange mit den vergeudeten Höhenmetern der unterirdischen Station - aber so ist das wohl, wenn man eine neue Achterbahn in einen kleinen Bereich quetscht.
USER TRANSLATION: The coaster looks great. Really compact and somewhat strange with the...
I hope they don't build anything in that red circle. I think it'd destory the feeling of that area. It's really nice with that open feeling and that bit of untouched water really adds to that.
