Wow... It's been operating for less than a week... How did it happen? Was it a windy day? Was the train too light?
I hope they can find an easy way to prevent this from happening regularly or this might be a huge failure!
Rutschebanen in Bakken is really bad with the trims but I'm afraid these are somewhat necessary. Unfortunately the system seemed static to me and just brakes the train to a value that is always safe and doesn't work in reply to the actual forces that occur under the current conditions as a...
Off topic: I have to say this thread shows again I don't really like the way this board handles coasters. Opened coasters kind of vanish behind a sticky wall of coasters in progress. I wish there was some way to improve the visibility of new postings on old coasters.
On topic: I like how the...
I don't love the soundtrack, either. It's just so short and repeatative. You leave the lifthill and it just continues... At least for me it's more making fun of the soundtrack than loving it.
Pinfari will be happy to hear that :)
I liked Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril, as well (basically the same coaster) - but only got to experience it backwards in 2001.
I have to say I can't really think of any coaster I really don't like or even hate. I think it's always a thing of managing your expactations and finding the loopholes. I avoided SLCs for quite a while but I have to say when you know what you're in for and you know how to ride it it's okay and...
EuroMir is pretty bad. Especially if you've ridden one of Mack Rides newer spinning coasters which are really fun. I like the lift and the mouse curves if you know what you got into and make fun of it with the other passengers... (like keep humming the music of the lift) But the main coaster...
I have to say I don't agree with this posts title. And that has been itching me every time I came around. We are just not post covid. We're still in the middle of a pandemic. We know the virus and the ways of infection but there are still outbursts at a lot of places. For now this is the best we...
No, the launch has always the same target speed. There's a blog entry on that topic (german). Weather and weight can influence the launch forces as the speed is the set goal.
Additionally there is the legendary boost mode which is used to warm up Taron. But this mode is not allowed to be used...
The title of this thread should be updated as the current information is that it won't be removed. It's really sad that Maurer tries to innovate but fails so hard (X-Car and Spike).
I haven't been to Energylandia. But I heard of the rattle and mentioned it in some thread. Someone who had been there said it's only one of the two trains. So it seems the reason for the rattle is a train they handled in some unknown bad way and not the new track.
I don't like the look of the new Intamin track. Maybe it's because the curves in the images somehow put some focus on it - but this big backbone with some distance to the track looks really ugly to me.
You have to pay per ride but they say it's heavily discounted fares on the rides. So... hard to say about which is the better value as long as we don't know the ticket prices from Düsselland.
