Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

It's definitely floaty early on... But there's also the strongest ejector in the UK in the back as it's warmed up. It's a good mix to be honest, there'll be a time of day and way to ride this for every fan of airtime, regardless of their preferences. Personally I go for both, a morning ride...

US Election; what are your thoughts?

Are you not a fan of democracy? Absolutely detest the bloke, and worry that some of his policies 'could' destabilise the world further, if he got them through somehow, but wouldn't wish this on anybody... It's only politics at the end of the day. Besides, doesn't really matter who's in...

Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

Pffft, you rate Blue Fire... 🙈 😂 That's my ranking too btw... Not exactly a lot to choose from here in the UK is there? What would you put above it? Stealth maybe, I guess, but as much as I like Stealth, Icon is way more fun. In fact, I'd pretty much agree with that entire top 9...

Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

Not sure if this has been shared anywhere recently (Or since it first entered the rankings.) But now that more reviews have come in, Hyperia (World #35) sits decisively above Nemesis (World #52) in the Captain Coaster UK and World rankings. Has anything ever managed that before? I've certainly...

Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

None that I knew. Air was recognised immediately as being much less thrilling. (And had a pretty disastrous launch, with a lot of down time. It was one of the biggest sources of complaints for us in Guest Services.) Oblivion, whilst celebrated as being unique, and genuinely terrifying, was...

Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

Nostalgic and sentimental reasons? (Which I fully 'get' btw!) Or something else?

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Yep, a red tape minefield... A big part of Labour's manifesto is to fix all of that and get Britain building again though. They have the mandate, and the ability to get things like planning reform through with ease, due to that huge seat majority, so we'll see I guess.

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Eden Project is incredible, and always extremely busy. Makes a great concert venue too. Never actually been to Wookey Hole, is it any good or are you being sarcastic? I think the key thing to remember is, Matt said "Semi Major" all this talk of Disney, Universal, or even to some extent, Alton...

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

I had no idea Bristol wasn’t included in the somerset figure!!! I always thought it was Somerset… You learn something every day. Sorry for the multiple replies btw, on phone struggling with multi quoting today for some reason. But a couple of caveats regarding my opinion, I don’t for one...

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

I think it’s a mix to be honest, definitely a ‘lot’ of second homes. But lots and lots of families too, and surfers… Surfers everywhere 🙈😂

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

3 million in winter… 13 million when the park would actually be open!!! And it’s 3 hours from Derby to WMSP every time I’ve tried the drive :(

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Flambards is in very much the wrong location to serve all 5 counties… Exeter, or somewhere closer to the Somerset border would be perfect.

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Devon 795,000 Cornwall 566,000 Dorset 426,000 Somerset 560,000 Gloucestershire 633,000 3 Million ish… That’s just the ‘winter / permanent’ population. With the summer population said to be 11 million for Devon and Cornwall combined (according to the local police force.)...

    Planet Coaster 2 Announcement

Well... I was thinking of building a new PC anyway... RTX 3070 and R7 3800x is feeling tired... No idea what I'm going to build yet, because if the first release is anything to go by, there's nothing on the market yet that will be able to handle PC2!!!! 🙈 😂 😂 😂

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Sorry for the double post.. But I'm on a journey down memory lane now... So pleased to see this place still going, I used to love it so much... The rare British outdoor water park!!! https://www.splashdownwaterparks.co.uk/quaywest/

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

I just went and had a look at Crealy, I haven't been there since the late 90s, and I'm genuinely surprised it's come as far as it has from what I remember!!! If anybody can do it you'd like to think they can. They have a 'city' on their doorstep, a major motorway nearby, Taunton just up that...

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

Ahhh but for one week of the year, Somerset gets the best adult theme park on the planet!!! Seriously though, I don’t know. You’d think there’d be a market for a good theme park, given the size of the tourism industry in Devon and Cornwall. And the fact places like Woodlands and Crealy still...

Somebody please tell me what he says at the end of that video... 27 times I've listed to it now, and all I can hear is "that's my private dinner lunch" 🙈 😂
