May not be small (or recent). But apparently Six Flags has decided to give every last one of their trapdoor slides the axe.
("It" = Bonzai Pipelines at SFNE)
Bonzai Pipelines at SFA is already long gone, as is the slide of the same name at SFSTL (that one's cabanas now), and the Bonzai...
TWO rare flats I'll never get (or at least a rare variant of one)...
EDIT: Or the 2004 one might end up being Big Easy Balloons, but either way looks like I'll never be getting Mardi Gras Hangover. Fun Fact: I was actually AT the park twice in 2018-2019, but never got to ride either Revolution...
OK so Whistlestop Park (the other area that has been closed since 2022) was sorta left in the dust. From May:
https://parkfans.net/threads/eleven-rides-two-areas-closed-for-season-without-notice.7437/post-288304
Then, on September 24th, a Q&A was held. In that Q&A, it was officially confirmed...
Completing the trifecta of CA parks getting rumored major additions, Screamscape has a rumor going about KBF.
https://screamscape.com/html/knott-s_berry_farm.htm#NextExpansion
The rumor goes that Monte2ooma is dead in the water, and so later this month KBF may actually be announcing the next 2...
While trying to read up on the SFOT Log Flume rumors I ended up finding this on the front page:
https://screamscape.com/html/seaworld_california.htm#NewCoaster
So, allegedly, SWSD is looking at B&M to give them a layout for a new 2025/26 coaster, and there is a possibility it could be a wing...
It was the Vekoma Boomerang until about 5 days ago thanks to failing to ride the one at SFSTL two trips in a row, but I got it the third time. Now it's likely the Vekoma SLC.
This thread on ParkFans:
https://parkfans.net/threads/six-flags-magic-mountain-project-2025-the-next-coaster.7786/
Is stating:
SFMM will get a coaster in 2025, allegedly replacing the Golden Bear Theater and possibly Laughing Dragon Pizza and Ninja as well, potentially with a drop of around...
Not sure where else to post this......
We now have what appears to be the definitive Volcano removal reason. Grain of salt, of course, but....
TL;DR: KD used non-Intamin parts on Volcano, Intamin halted a multi-million dollar renovation until they got more money to do a larger refurb, and CF...
Main rumor is both an epic failure resulting in the loop going down inadvertently and the supplier for the trains (Kumbak) getting thrown off the project for not going the distance. Xcelerator ****ting itself also likely complicated things.
Annnnnnnd according to Reddit there has been a "boom boom incident" in the hydraulic room during testing which has knocked the reopening back several more months. RIP
EDIT: Screamscape's got it too.
I happened to be at the park today for the grand opening. It was really by chance as my grandma took us on a SFSTL trip that had been disguised as a dentist appointment and which I didn't know was a SFSTL trip until after we were on the road (hence no updates as I left my kindle at home thinking...
