We should see vertical construction soon. Supports and other metal components have arrived.
I'm sure they could be posted here, but it is much more convenient (for me) to just post the link to where I have the photos posted already instead of having to duplicate the process again over here. Thank you for your understanding.
Track and supports are currently scheduled to arrive in June.
I'm not sure how many of you are aware of who(m) Carr Excavating is, but they are the local firm that does most of the work for SDC (and a lot of Branson project for that matter). Long story short, they provided some photos from ONSITE of the construction and we have shared them on our website...
Perhaps it would be wiser to use a more recent photo? How about these I just posted that have a steel beam across those openings?

Looks like we have shingles going up on the side of the station now.
Also is there going to be a facade on the side facing the TNT queue? Why else are there beams sticking above the roofline of the station?
Received confirmation from my source. The openings on the right are NOT for the maintenance bay. It will be below the station like I stated above. Those holes are purely cosmetic and will make sense when the theming is completed.
Update from this week. They have most of the station boarded up now and the roof is starting to form.

It is not boarded up right under the station. The video that I posted above would still work with the elevator lift before the station and would explain that strange opening below the load station.
I've only ridden the one at SFFT but for me it was a true "WTF JUST HAPPENED" moment. You disengage the lift and are immediately thrown upside down and it is non-stop flips and near flips the whole time. It's very disorienting and hard to tell which way is up until you hit the brakes. It's...
So a few of us were talking tonight and we think the station will be a lot like Lightning Run with the maintenance bay located right under the load platform and an elevator lift right before the station.
Here's a video of LR to show what we mean
