Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Love the fact that this will have a moving platform. It definitely helps with operations. Cannot wait to ride this.

The Rig - A roller coaster on an offshore oil rig?

It's funded by the PIF. Chances are, it will happen.

Warner Bros Movie World | Various New Vekomas & relocated Intamin | 2024

It's phenomenal that they've fitted that ride in to the space that they have. Incredible.

Rebuild of Alpenexpress and Tiroler Wildwasserbahn Europa Park after major fire.

If you're talking about Daniel Kerscher. He was one of the creative leads on a lot of Europa's rides. Some of which has not come to fruition. There's a lot of artwork and designs in his portfolio that are not yet happening, or have been shelved. He's an absolutely incredible artist and creative.

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

But does it... most people that the marketing is targeted at don't have a clue what an inversion is, never mind an outwardly banked inversion. Whereas they understand what a 'twist' is.

Knott’s Berry Farm | MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress | Schwarzkopf Launch Refurb | 2025?

It's less likely they "forgot to tell the map guy", and more that these maps tend to be briefed the summer/autumn before the following season... As in, around the time of the issues...

Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

Arguably, they did that back in 2005 when they opened G-Force.

Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

Little digging, these are ART Engineering trains - which I believe are currently found on Impulse, Cannibal and Wicked. I didn't realise that Zierer subcontracted these trains to ART, but, if you look at the order of build from Wicked > Bombora > Cannibal, it seems to make sense that the park...

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

Arguably, on site accommodation changes the business model drastically. A lot of people think you need the park to then build accommodation - that's strictly not true. Lightwater Valley is located in an AONB, where people stay anyway. What they're doing, is pushing accommodation as there's...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

It was a park overlay with them, working with their team for the creative overlay, scheduling acts, etc. it was like a mini festival at the park. Accommodation is not something that they offer. Instead, they work with all of the other suppliers of this in the area as it's full of B&Bs, hotels...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

More than likely it will keep the operational model that it has at the moment which is live events with rides, over an amusement park with live events. It's working so well for them financially and operationally that they'll have sold it that way to Live Nation. There was discussions happening...

    Playland (Vancouver) | Thundervolt | Zamperla/Intamin Launched Coaster | 2024

Original purchase price, refurb, new trains, new electrics, new LSMs, shipping (roughly 9,300km without diversion to Zamperla first) , importation, transportation to site ain't cheap. Not to mention any planning submissions, local permits, the cost of labour shooting through the roof, marketing...

PortAventura - Dragon Khan to get a retrack?

It's literally the same trains as Hulk with LEDs build into the restraints - closer to that than Decepticoaster? He's one of Universal Creative's Creative Directors.

I didn't know that they'd purchased one of those ****ing Maurer contraptions 🤮

PortAventura - Dragon Khan to get a retrack?

Honestly? I feel it adds nothing. Arguably, I feel the only time it works well is on Dive Machines on the front row where it makes you feel vulnerable. Haven't ridden a floorless coaster where I thought 'oh, floorless really added to the experience'... ever.

PortAventura - Dragon Khan to get a retrack?

You're competing against Europe's tallest coaster in the same vicinity. It's like Shambhala promoting it's staggered seating - it holds no grounds anymore.

PortAventura - Dragon Khan to get a retrack?

Why floorless? It adds absolutely nothing to the ride experience and the patents only show the same train as Hulk... This is so exciting. I've been hoping that Universal come and take back control of PA. The park deserves so much more than the current state that it's in. Khan also definitely...
