Ahhh, the bi-annual S&S product reveal that inevitably (and unfortunately) gets no interest. Seems like a normal single rail coaster, basically a trailered steeplechase minus the horsey. Not expecting that to be powered like the Maurer Spike, as there's a mag brake on the bottom of the car:

American Thunder 'clone'? The stats are slightly different, but this section appears to be the exact same as American Thunder. Even has the 2 ledgers extended over the prelift:

Feel like we're getting far too nitpicky now. The concrete pad is what it is. End of the day, it's a sub-$1m pair of kiddie coasters here, the point was clearly cost efficiency. IMO the worst part is the black-on-red color scheme itself. Think it would look much more normal with a (ex.) blue on...

^Oh wow, thought for sure it would have the front-buckle belts. If only they could implement the Xtreme Spinner restraint locks on the normal launchers, would imagine this thing is gonna have some gnarly stapling action after that drop 😂

There's no transfer or storage building indicated on plans, so I believe it's just one train. It's just a couple hundred feet longer, not long enough to warrant a 2nd train IMO.

Pretty sure they were about to get one, then a certain worldwide event happened, and that coaster got shuffled to Silverwood. Been a while since I thought about that, so please correct if wrong, but I think that's the story.

Simply a fantastic reuse of that station (I think?) & plot of land. Do wish the layout was a tad longer though, looks like it's still gonna have quite a bit of juice hitting the brakes.

To my knowledge, the launch speed has always been 45mph, even after the modification ("neutering") in mid-2017. I believe the change they made was so that the launch lets off slightly sooner, so it crests the top of the lift at the current, slower target speed (very likely the 13mph referenced)...

WOW! Kind of a surprising announcement but also entirely expected at the same time. 13mph over the crest is great to hear. My guess is that's the target speed for the crest with the launch, and now it will hit that reliably and leave the rest of the ride unchanged. Big move! Very interested to...

As the linked plan shows, I do believe you're right that green will be queue, blue will be the station building, and red will be the exit path to the gift shop. Based on the lack of a maintenance building in these plans, I am under the impression this is probably a single train ride. I could...

I like to imagine this project sparked by some offhand comment in a meeting (probably during the development of Pipeline) and someone from B&M said "Family coaster? you need one? we can do that, you know..." Can't wait to see the trains for this!

When you think about it, why fix what isn't broken? Rather, why go to a different company when you can pretty much guarantee that you'll get a ride that works reliably, is seemingly easy to maintain and probably has components your maintenance team is already incredibly familiar with, etc.

Currently posted on the bottom of the park website's homepage... Great Escape is getting a new ride! Immediate first guess is that this'll be a family Gravity Group, probably in Bobsleds location. I'm sure we'll see more soon. Shoutout Six Flags I.T.!

I'd bet a few bucks that it'll be Flash. Forget which video it was showing it, but there's been a huge increase in Flash merch at stores in the park recently.
