What was your first coaster to feature airtime?

Hmm I'd have to say some of the coasters at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Before that point, it was mainly Thorpe Park and Chessington which doesn't have as much sustained airtime. Not going to be overly specific but I'd say Icon and The Woodies are the ones that featured the most sustained airtime...

What UK parks do you have a specific desire to revisit regularly regardless of new major draws?

My main one is Thorpe Park although this is because of locality, the vast variety of rides and it being some of the most thrilling in the UK Chessington, Drayton and Paultons also have a good variety but are more aimed towards families so wouldn't visit as often. Paultons from 2026 onwards does...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Interesting to hear rumours of even more rides going as soon as this closed season 😦😮 Go Karts, I believed was on it's way out for a very long time with the size of the land, the capacity, environmental reasons and it being a extra charge attraction. With Dragon, I'd have thought that it...

Is Hyperia your top UK coaster?

Now I've ridden it, it is unlike anything I've ridden here in terms of airtime and I'd say it is my UK favourite and overall 3rd. The airtime is unbelievable and it made me come off with a rush. Taron and Voltron are my 1st and 2nd respectively which both are complete packages and have...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

As was I, I didn't expect it to be so soon... I am thinking the area behind Cobra and by Raging River is where Project 2026 will be. I'm fully expecting Seal Falls and Digger Ride to end up at Funland Haying Island next year 😂 I'm hoping the replacement is a modern flume much like Biberburg at...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Speaking of the future of the park, I speculated Raging River will be moved on from the park eventually either in preparation for or after a new larger replacement log flume opens. It seems Interlink have got a log flume up for sale with Raging River's photos and details...

Why does the South West of England lack major or semi-major theme parks?

I'd say it's because the South West especially around Cornwall way is further away from most of the country and it relies on the tourist market. You could say that the likes of Bournemouth, Weymouth or Bristol could sustain a major theme park although as you get into Devon and Cornwall, it...

Worst coasters you've ridden (Bottom 5/10)

It was a very long time ago when I rode it 😅

    YAY Merlin!

Drayton definitely have that policy in place, Stormforce 10 is also included in that policy during school trip season.

Worst coasters you've ridden (Bottom 5/10)

My bottom two coasters are Skyways that used to be at Clarence Pier and Infusion at Blackpool. Skyways, I've found incredibly rickety and rough whilst Infusion is horribly rough every time I've ridden it. Grand National is rough however it is very variable. I found it smoother than Big Dipper...

Cringe Worthy Non Coaster Enthusiast Comments you have heard

Completely agree that at the moment, I would visit purely for an enthusiast event or with a fellow enthusiast as the reputation of the park is still "a kids park". I believe that it has already transitioned to a "Family Thrill All-Rounder" and is equivalent to a "Pre-Jumanji Chessington". It...

Cringe Worthy Non Coaster Enthusiast Comments you have heard

One of the comments I've heard is along the lines of "Paultons Park, isn't that for kids?" which comes from the reputation that the park has from it's Peppa Pig World area. That probably will be a thing of the past after 2026 with the viking themed coaster with inversions teased opens 🎢

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

Peak School Trip season usually runs from next week to the end of school term (Mid-Late June to Late July?). Weekdays during this time can be crowded during this time (at times even more than weekends). I have found the first 2/3 weeks of the summer holidays (July and August) to be more...

New development on the Slammer site at Thorpe Park?

I'm pretty sure S&S don't make Sky Swats anymore as this likely factored into why it was closed, been SBNO for years and soon to be removed. Potentially yes, although possibly could be distinct enough to have both. Something like Tundra Twister at Canada's Wonderland could be awesome though...

New development on the Slammer site at Thorpe Park?

I can imagine Skybound being something for the Slammer spot. I think there's quite a few attractions that can fit the site however I'd love to see a Giant Gyro Swing from either Intamin or Zamperla there. It would certainly fit into the name, theme of Hyperia and finding one's fearless. 🪽

Merlin Entertainment to Develop Unscripted TV shows

I'd be excited to see a drama series on Netflix about Nemesis and the Phalanx 😅 That could raise the profile of Nemesis - you never know, we may see Nemesis Vengeance as a rollercoaster in America at some point 😉

    YAY Merlin!

I would say that is the one thing I believe we take for granted in the UK is that there will be bag storage in ride stations on the coasters. (Only ride that doesn't (unless it's been added recently) but should have one that I know of is Valhalla at Blackpool) I haven't been to the US parks yet...

What uk theme park looks most promising and why

    1. Thorpe Park following their rebrand - I feel that it is now on the up with Hyperia and the park need to keep up the momentum with continuing investment. I can imagine a New for 2025 Flat Ride on the Slammer site followed by further investments in the long term (i.e. Amity Beach site, Area...
