Does it really?
We decided to ride Cobras Curse at BGTampa and that had a moving platform...and for how tame the ride was and how easy the restraint system was, HOLY CRAP that line crawled. Longest, slowest wait of the day. Maybe it was just the ops at that ride, because operations everywhere...
DUDE! The pattern on the seatbacks is SICK! How come we've never seen that before?
Also the faux "stitching" along the borders of the seats is excellent. What a bunch of nice touches!
Probably some of the coolest trains ever.
I kind of like the flat turn, gives a couple seconds of anticipation at that height before you get to the holding brake. It's too bad the catwalks that run along it kinda kill that height vibe though.
Would be REALLY cool is if they did a slow 45/90 degree outward bank turn after the lift with...
Oh give me a break (to them, not you, I'm not shooting the messenger here :)). "More Dynamic" is just some BS jargon they made up at the last second to disguise the fact that they've decided to cheap out now that the coaster is erected.
It doesn't really bother ME per se, as I didn't even know...
I wouldn't be surprised if the layout is done by the end of the month. Testing starts a few weeks after that, maybe sooner.
Honestly I'm not a big fan of these family B&M's we're seeing installed because they seem like big bulky overkill for the basic layout they're circuiting during the ride...
The descriptions on those placards are priceless!
"Lets you immerse yourself in the winning mentality of the club, celebrating the team's strong mindset and resilience." 🤣
That's a stretch even Six Flags wouldn't think they could pull off when it comes to "theming" LOL
Definitely slower than before, looks almost close to valleying if I'm being honest.
They can always change the wheel compounds to have it run faster, but we won't know until it's open, so we shouldn't worry about it until then.
100% disagree, I think it's awesome and unique. But to each his own!
So Goliath @ SFMM has a 255 foot drop, into a tunnel, so I'd imagine it's about 236 feet tall when you stand on the ground. And THAT is MASSIVE considering what this ride is actually doing. It's definitely nothing to yawn at, this is going to be quite an intense ride!
Definitely not...
Pfff. Going straight from the world's fastest launch into trim-brakes has to be the most sac-religious thing I've ever seen on a roller coaster. There isn't much special about it after the launch, IMO, so good riddance it's at 14.
🤣
Have you ever ridden a motorcycle with a windshield? You...
You know sometimes I'm in the boat of wanting more on a coaster, but based off how much this ride is going to do in such a short amount of time, and with how aggressive it's going to be for the duration, I'm okay with the length of the circuit on Hyperia.
Kind of makes me think back to Maxx...
Really depends on the situation and the surrounding area.
For the most part in high elevation situations, they get guys in one of those crane cages and pull them up to where the installation will be. They'll get out and harness to the track that is already installed, while waiting for the...
You know what? You're absolutely right, and now that you mention it I'm surprised there wasn't more of a stink from enthusiasts about them doing absolutely nothing with the brake run side.
I suppose you'd have to consider how much it'd effect dispatch times and/or capacity which will probably...
Yes.
I thought it was fairly mundayne. The elements are just so drawn out, and they circuit at such a mediocre pace.
To be honest I thought Wild Eagle at Dollywood was much better.
Now THAT would have been absolutely awesome! Especially with B&M foundations.
Like others have said, this doesn't seem to be anything that will be close to what Volcano was. There's just something about B&M wingriders that aren't that thrilling to me. It's like they get dumbed down due to the...
Next time you go you should record the Sky Cabin narration on your phone and upload it on YouTube. I might not get there in time to do it.
It will soon become a thing of the past, and we probably will never hear it again.
I recorded the Montezuma track they played as the ride was running the...
