Re: Silver Dollar City |"Outlaw Run"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster
^ Probably because the picture is just pulled straight from NL with a standard station and autosupports to boot. So I'll just patiently wait for the official announcement in a week.
First ride on Coaster at Playland PNE, I was expecting some airtime and a seat belt and got standing airtime so strong it was painful almost everywhere I literally thought I was going to die on the two bunny hops and the drop out of the MCBR.
Off the top of my head the one I can think of is Coaster at Playland PNE, I never really hear that much about it but OMFG this thing has some insane airtime and that coupled with the lap bars a good 20 cm above your thighs with no seat belt makes it one of the craziest rides I have been on.
That looks like water slide parts to me, partly because of the multicoloredness and partly because there are no bolt holes in the flanges and there are no bits sticking out of the supports to go into footers and because the ladder looks like a water park escape ladder. Hopefully they're finally...

Re: SFDK | Superman Ultimate Flight|Premier Rides launch coa
^ & ^^ LSMs both of you, LIMs can't act as brakes while LSMs can have their polarization reversed to become eddy current brakes, LIMs can only accelerate a train in one direction.
^ It's actually not that bad if you ask me, maybe even a bit better than last year.
As far as my list goes.
Ghostrider on a good day with the trims at the MCBR off - great airtime and lats in the second half
Tremors - one of the best first drops ever created, not for the airtime but into the...
^With lap bars in the case of Revolution and without the track modifications and hideous Premier restraints on Zonga. Some of the others operate with heavy trims also.
^ & ^^ YES. I personally love how most of his rides pushed the limits in at least one respect. I've ridden five off the top of my head (Olympia Looping, Alpina Bahn, Montezuma, Zonga, and Revolution) and each one was great. I think that I would have loved Zonga so much more if I had been able to...
There's also the fact that they provide upper body support that lap bars can't so braking forces can be higher without rider discomfort since they distribute the force throughout the rider's chest as opposed to concentrating all the force on their gut/lap.
That screamin' swing is insane.
I can see with the liability waiver on the alpine coaster and the screamin' swing but it seems a bit much for the coaster.
I just don't get where people are coming from when they say they hate Intamin restraints, aside from Skyrush. I personally love their old lap bars and most of their OTSR's are fine, my issue with Intamin is that they don't understand the concept of legroom, almost all of their trains require me...
Millennium Force, brilliant first drop and the first overbank is amazing for how wrong it feels to be so high up and tilted so far over and then it does a bunch of forceless stuff which is okay but not what it could have been.
This sign is in the queue a few times, if he didn't read it then it's his own fault.
On another note if you are missing both hands and the worst thing that happens to you in life is not being allowed to ride a coaster then you are really damn lucky and should quit whining.

Re: SF Magic Mountain |"Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom"| Drop Towe
Oh, and it has Skyrush style overhead lapbars, so not only is it the tallest and fastest drop tower in the world but it's also the only one I can think of besides some really small ones (less than 50ft) that has lap bars. I'm...
