    New attractions at Paultons Park

I feel attacked by this lol 😂. I jest of course but Paultons is my local park and it is a fantastic day out for lots of reasons other than peppa pig world. When I was last there at the beginning of September it did feel like a bit of a shift, as Cobra, flight of the pterosaur etc had consistent...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I can see a water coaster fitting in very well at Paultons but I wouldn't put any stock into the image that was used on the planning material - Lawrence Mancey said in the recent interview he did with lift hills and thrills on youtube that it was literally just a stock image that an external...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Yes, as I posted upthread I was there Monday and it was heaving, despite the weather which was not ideal. Which considering the high price tag on day tickets and season pass tells you something about the standard they are providing to their customers. I was also really impressed that they...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I’m at Paultons today and they have been tearing down one of the infamously straight hedges over by Cobra. It’s incredibly exciting to think what is in the pipeline for this park but I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit sad to see one of those perfect hedges going as well! Lawrence Mancey has...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Have seen some images from Attraction Source’s Twitter showing that this will be a ‘turntable’ based ride system: https://x.com/AttractionSc/status/1791910855845544027 Are there any other rides out there that have this system? I can’t visualise in my head what this is going to be like …

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Definitely looks to be an interactive attraction with guns - the first picture of the link that OP linked to definitely has a gun graphic in it. Personally I would have preferred a more traditional dark ride with no guns but given the demographic that Paultons is appealing to it’ll undoubtedly...

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

The demand was most definitely there on the day I visited Legoland. It was not a quiet day in the park at all. I’ve had a similar experience at Chessington as well. I’m not saying that they should open really late - but when you’re leaving at 4 and the park is still really busy then I think I...

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

I wasn’t suggesting that my experience changed yours at all. Never wrote that anywhere. I guess Efteling must have changed their hours since 2019, on their app from mid-March onwards opening is listed until 7pm. It’s not listed from mid-May but I doubt it would go earlier as the summer...

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

That was not my experience of Efteling at all, was there in August last year when the opening hours were 10am - 10pm and had plenty of time to do everything we wanted to. Has Towers recently stayed open until 10pm outside of scarefest? Personally, I’m still recovering from visiting Legoland...

Soundtrack reminds me a bit of Flight of the Sky Lion

CWOA | Mandrill Mayhem (World of Jumanji) | B&M Wing Coaster | 2023

The Fire and Ice towers are great family rides. Paultons have a pair in Tornado Springs called 'Windmill Towers'. Agree with other comments on here. The lack of thought given to capacity is really poor.

CWOA | Mandrill Mayhem (World of Jumanji) | B&M Wing Coaster | 2023

Or look at some of the recent major additions at Efteling, for example. Their GCI is a duelling one, adding capacity. Max and Moritz - again, a 'duelling' coaster, adding capacity. A trackless dark ride with good capacity per hour (and awe-inspiring theming) - to go along with the absolute ton...

    Alton Towers' Next Big Thing?

I think it would be different, rather than ‘extremely different’, but I take your point. Although people on this forum do sometimes spend a lot of time explaining why parks won’t/shouldn’t build a ride because they already have something similar.

    Alton Towers' Next Big Thing?

I’m always a bit puzzled when I think about what Project Horizon could potentially be. It makes sense given the size of the building that it’s going to be something like an Intamin multi-dimensional coaster along the lines of uncharted or movie studios tour, but given that Thirteen is literally...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

I don't disagree with what you say entirely. I *love* Paultons and everything that the management have done with the place over the past decade or so. But perhaps the real test will come when they have to implement a big budget Intamin or B&M thrill coaster, or something of that ilk. What I...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I agree with your first point - I'm a local as well (only a few minutes down the road) and I am unbelievably excited for the future of Paultons. Feel incredibly blessed to live so close to one of the most promising parks out there. But please, keep the IP's for Merlin and their ilk! Paultons...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Additional. The water ride (looks to be a mini-flume) is being built in Lost Kingdom. I can't wait to see what Paultons has planned for this new area. Hopefully they ditch the go-karts and the Reverchon flume now that they are building a new one, and that gives them even more space...
