    Your 2023 in Review

Coaster count at start of 2023: 51 Coaster count at end of 2023: 158 Coaster count increase: 107 Favorite new-to-me coaster of 2023: Fury 325 beating out ArieForce One by a hair. I think aside from the front row, it would be AFO but given I rank coasters based on where the best ride experience...

    Rank the RMCs

    1. Steel Vengeance - What can be said that hasn't been said about it. My number 1 and it isn't particularly close. 11/10 -gap- 2. ArieForce One - Arguably the best quality per length RMC I've been on but doesn't have the length of SteVe. 10/10 3. Outlaw Run - Such a great setting and...

    Best Upcoming Coaster for 2024?

Three answers: Want to ride the most but it isn't going to happen: Hyperia - some of those elements just look insane. New coaster that I will almost certainly ride: Flash Vertical Velocity - I want to give a new age Vekoma thrill coaster a ride. New coaster that I might ride: Hot Wheels...

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

Whelp, 49 new credits later as I skipped Frontier City and only rode 5 new coasters at Dollywood along with a couple other closures, here is my updated top 10 or top 6.4% of my 157 credits: 1. Steel Vengeance, Cedar Point - Long live the king! 2. Fury 325, Carowinds - I tried to crack the...

What is your top 10 to do list?

Well I crossed 3 of my top 10 to do off my list this past weekend in Fury 325, ArieForce One and Lightning Rod this weekend. Updated top 10 to follow once I've had a week to let those settle to try to reduce recency bias. But I still can do my new top 10 to do list: 1. Skyrush - As it is...

    Your B&M Count

In no particular order (kinda grouped geographically) Patriot - World's of Fun Wildfire - Silver Dollar City Batman - Six Flags St. Louis Great White - SeaWorld San Antonio Dr. Diabolical Cliffhanger - Six Flags Fiesta Texas Superman - Six Flags Fiesta Texas Goliath - Six Flags Fiesta Texas...

What makes your #1 better than your #2?

    1. Steel Vengeance 2. Voyage Steel Vengeance is just so stupidly long with so many elements and every element hits. And honestly for me, there is a pretty big gap between Steel Vengeance and the Voyage whereas there is basically no gap between Voyage, Maverick, Outlaw Run and Iron Rattler.

SFSTL | Rookie Racer | Vekoma Junior Coaster | 2023

It's probably nothing but the picture in that Instagram post was Boss.

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

Oh why not, I'll do one now and then compare in ~1.5 months when I should have ~60 more credits between trips to Sea World San Antonio, Fiesta Texas, Over Texas and possibly Frontier City over Labor Day weekend and then the first weekend of October will be Carowinds, Six Flags Over Georgia, Fun...

How Has Your Enthusiasm Grown or Changed?

I had always enjoyed roller coasters but my enthusiasm didn't really start until ~2018/2019 and then exploded in 2021. There was a storm of about 4 factors that turned me into into an enthusiast. The first and most innocent was my first Prowler rides (and night rides) in 2018 and my first...

    Whats your favorite Intamin

This list has me so excited for my trip next year. Will be hitting KD, SFNE, SFGAdv, Hershey and BGW. I look at that list and see as many as four 10/10 coasters for me. My list is significantly less but I can confidently say that there isn't a bad Intamin that I have ridden: 1. Maverick -...

Do you prefer starter or dessert in a restaurant?

I'm American so appetizer, haha! I don't feel like I enjoy desserts as much after I had already ate and am likely full. I also do not have much of a sweet tooth as I generally prefer salty snacks. Some kind of battered and fried cheese or chips & salsa sounds amazing right now a couple...

    Dorney Park | Iron Menace | B&M Dive Machine | 2024

I don't know why but both the chain lift and the holding "brake" being the same chain just fascinates me. Great addition to Dorney! Off topic but my gut says something like this is heading to Valleyfair for 2025 as it'd fit perfectly on the old dinosaur's alive plot of land.

Fury 325 Closed - Support Fracture

Calling it a disaster is being dramatic. I think a good proxy of "GP" sentiment in this case is Cedar Fairs stock price and there was a pronounced dip following the accident. From early July to mid July its stock price dipped by about 10% falling from roughly $40/share to roughly $36/share...

What factors determine the length/number of riders per train?

MLD nailed it. I recall seeing an Alan Schilke interview (linked below) around the time of opening of Steel Vengeance and when discussing the 90 degree drop, his comment was “that happens right at 200 feet for this length of train”. B&M Dive’s against B&M Giga’s are another example of train...

'Good' parks that you just don't vibe with

I made my first visit to Kennywood on July 10 this year and it was bad vibes from the start... The start being weeks prior when it was discovered that the park would be closed on Tuesdays starting July 11 through the rest of the year. The plan was to do Kings Island on the 10th and Kennywood...

"American Heartland" Park and Resort in Oklahoma, aiming for 2026 open

The total fixed assets of Cedar Fair are ~$3.8 billion at cost and that's across a dozen or so parks not mention any additional water parks. Lost Island was $100 million to build. So yeah, $2 billion seems absurd even acknowledging that it is to be way more than an amusement park. That said...

    Last Cred Review

Zambezi Zinger - After months of anticipation of wondering what World's of Fun's new project was, months of construction and finally nearly a one month delay due to what is still some unknown reason, I finally was able to get on the Zambezi Zinger on Monday, June 19th! I arrived to the...

Worlds of Fun | Zambezi Zinger | GCI (partial) Titan Track | 2023

Not that I'm aware of but I'm not at the park. The park also didn't make any kind of announcement about it opening to passholders so who knows.
