By far the coldest was Energylandia in December. Way too cold to enjoy the 200ft+ coasters, park was completely dead and probably shouldn't have been open.
Hottest probably Cedar Point and Kings Island this year around 35 celcius but we done 25-30k steps with barely any shelter. Florida too...
Writing that report gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside 😂
On reflection I guess it proves how much I really value an overall experience as opposed to just coasters. Something that I never thought was necessarily the case. I'd rather be at Cedar Point than anywhere else but my most memorable...
Surprised it took this long tbh.
They've got the vastly superior Lightning Racer(s) as well as Comet so they're all sorted with classic wood.
From memory though Wildcat is quite a compact ride, so this could be one of the smallest RMC's.
Wingsuiting (?) must be the ultimate adrenaline rush. Surely there
is nothing in the world that could top that feeling of flight? I mean you're basically a bird. I'd love to be in a position where it was possible to do that comfortably.
Was watching paragliders on Devils Dyke near Brighton...
Must admit this park has never been on my radar until now. The B&M's look good but dated and hardly unique.
Its fantastic to see parks on the continent upping their game and building modern airtime focused rides. Helix was thr possible catalyst and since then we've seen...

Park 4: Silver Dollar City
I was pumped for one ride here and one ride only. A certain Outlaw Run. So much so that I didn't really pay much attention to the rest of this park building up to the trip, which led to a long day filled with very pleasant surprises.
We were among the first guests...
Can relate with the Six Faffs nonsense. They just make everything needlessly awkward and difficult.
I loved Kingda Ka too - definitely the best of the launch > top hat > brakes I've done.
Travel/Wedding Stuff
Leaving Dollywood early proved to be a great decision as we arrived just outside of Nashville for around 8pm. Just in time to watch game 2 of the NBA finals in Hooters. Amazing how good the wings are at Hooters compared to, well, Buffalo Wild Wings for example.
The...
1. Mystic Timbers - Best by far for airtime once it warms up
2. Wodan - The most intense and relentless
3. Joris - Pure fun especially at night
4. Lightning Racer - Great layout/s
5. Gold Striker - Bit of a letdown but still good
6. Wicker Man - Punches above its weight
7. Thunderhead - V...
Par 3: Dollywood
Travelled as far south as possible after a full day at Kings Island and ended up stopping over somewhere near Lexington. Leaving a 3.5 hour drive down to Dollywood in the morning.
After a quick stop off at the effing awesome Popeye's for a Chicken Sandwich, we arrived at...
Was attempting attempting to build an RMC take on an alpine coaster, minus the baking tray seat. I've roughly stuck to that original plan and here's what the end result is...
