Phoenix at Knobels is by far the best traditional woodie I've done.
The GCI's are good fun but often lacking airtime. Wodan is absolutely mental on a good day and Joris is a worthy contender.
Getting in early as I've been 'working' from home today...
Had a lot of fun putting this together and managed to accidentally break the world Inversion record.
Features a steep indoor drop followed by an inversion, like Saw. The rest of the ride is best described as a launched version of The...
The old Maverick vs Taron debate is an interesting one.
Weird as it sounds they're completely different rides. Taron's in my top 5 and Maverick sneaks into the top 10.
I think it's fair to say Maverick is the better layout and it's more intense with better airtime.
I rate Taron more highly...
Day 3: Disneys California Adventure
When planning the trip I had this down as possibly a half day park. Knowing how crap the Paris studio park is and having previously done WDW's Hollywood Studios in a couple of hours; I kind of expected to just whizz through this park too. I couldn't have been...
I'd estimate about 75% of tube stations - mostly as a teen with a £2 child travel card and a BMX!
30-50ish around the UK when working away or following Chelsea.
It shouldn't need to come down to that tbf. If the restraint is locked in and the ride is able to dispatch I think it's fair for the ride staff to assume its good to go.
Just a tragic design flaw it seems.
My experience was mostly negative and turned out to be a pretty miserable time in my life.
I worked in sales/business development role at a Merlin attraction during its construction.
It was an unfamiliar role to them and they seemed to make it up as they went along. Turns out it's quite hard...
Unbelievable. Don't want to jump to conclusions but a 14 year old should be well over the minimum height requirement. Perhaps the restraint was not tight enough.
We complain about being stapled into rides but this is why certain places insist on it.
Tbf it's not a dig specifically at Exodus. I'm pretty hyped for it. Skyrush is my number 2 coaster but that is an exception as I usually prefer longer rides.
I'm not a huge fan of Smiler but I'd say duration is the best thing about it. Also Twisted Colossus - does near enough the same thing...
