Intimidator 305 is another one that kind of sucks. Is it really necessary to put the height after the name? I realize there is another Intimidator, but if they couldn't use that, at least come up with something a little better than just sticking the height on it...
I always thought it was pretty awesome how Xcelerator launches from inside the station. On TTD, Ka and Storm Runner (can't speak for the others, as I haven't ridden them), the only way to see the catch car and all that fun stuff is to ride front car.
Edit:
I didn't realize how far from the...
It is an Intamin. It looks to be that it was their only 4-across invert.

There's not a good picture of the trains, but it has the same B&M style track, and their inverted style drop, but was built by Intamin.
Both Bolliger and Mabillard used to work for Intamin before branching off and forming B&M, and Intamin at that time had the same track style. If you look at the old Intamin standups, they seat 4 across and have the same track style as B&M currently does.
I think you're speaking of the picture...
^ I've always found their website to be fairly ****, and it isn't updated often.
Maybe it's because most companies know about their products and they don't go to their website to "order" them. They talk to them directly.
But I agree with you, I think it should be featured.
That's pretty awesome. It looks like it goes through the inverted tophat pretty slow, but that loop looks intense.
How much energy does it generate by using the LSM's for brakes?
Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits
^ Yeah, that's the Six Flags America S:ROS. I've never ridden it, but it just looks like a looooong drawn out helix. And if I'm not mistaken, it looks like it's near the middle/end of the ride, from the pictures I've seen of the layout.
^ That brings up another question, at least in my mind. How does the train disengage from the catch-car before it hits the catch-cars brake run.
Or does the slowing of the catch car happen before the train disengages, and the train just continues to move along?
I guess I should have said they could do a good job, rather than would. I think it would have potential.
I guess I was thinking with a smaller, more compact layout the elements wouldn't be as drawn out and might be more intense. But I guess it does have potential to suck too...just on a...
Instead of seeing B&M go for a Giga, I'd like to see them go for a Mega-Lite esque design. I think they would do a really good job on doing something smaller like a Mega-Lite.
I got a great pop of airtime riding front seat on TTD a few days ago. It definitely wasn't the best, but it surprised the **** out of me because I have never experienced it over the tophat. It's usually non-existent.
Maybe it's time to deploy the ADS for the first time. I saw this on the Discovery Channel once, and they were supposed to be able to used for riot control, but hasn't been used yet.

Re: Son of Beast to be retracked by GCI?
I honestly think in this case, it wasn't an overreaction by the media. A derailment is a serious issue. And just because no one was killed or seriously inured, dosn't make it any less serious.
I'm not saying that I wouldn't ride it, but obviously...
