Alpina Blitz does have a fair amount of queue/bag exchange area in the building as well. You'd imagine Blackpool would lump the whole lot in one building like the Big One and Avalanche, but it almost looks too small to put everything on that footprint. And won't this have 3 trains?
That said...
I've done 36, and I've got most of the big ones that are left standing.
The ones still on my bucket list are:
Big Roller Coaster, Wonder Island
Shock Wave, Six Flags Over Texas
Oasis Express, Entertainment City
Golden Loop, Gold Reef City
Katapul, Hopi Hari
I can't believe that Shuttle Loop from Toshimaen is being resurrected. They will have to redo the entire ride with new everything to get it working. And Reaper will look really weird without any theming - surely they'd have to do something with that as well.
Even so, it looks quite fab and I'm...
Another vote for Mission Space.
Some Flying Theatres are OK but not amazing. Wings Over Washington was pretty decent, but I'd take Gary Sinise, Spiderman, anything like that over a giant forest projected on a big screen. Oh, and the Ferrari World one is awful.
Stand-up coasters had their brief moment in the 80's and 90s', but I'd be very surprised if another one was built anywhere (with the possible exception of China).
I'd be delighted if no more Sky Loop X-Cars ever get built, unless they are the Chinese knock-offs which are actually better than...
Saw: The Ride has a complete lack of saws, hammers or any DIY construction tools.
Swarm has no bees, locusts or ladybirds with STIs.
Speed: No Limits has a top speed of 59mph. The motorway has a higher limit than this.
Death Train in Oman has had no reported fatalities.
The Billybird one is alright, nothing special but pretty fun all the same. I like the excessive station building, but unfit people will hate the excessive climb up the stairs to the loading platform.
Alton Towers - even though it has had so much going against it lately, it's still my favourite.
Heide Park - A very close second. Great selection of rides, but they need a better log flume and Limit is absolutely vile.
Gardaland - Yes, it's got a ****ing **** SLC, a disgusting S&S Squirrel...
I really like this idea. There's a lot of products they could have chosen to fit the bill for the sort of ride they're going for. Family suspended coaster, vertical drop track coaster etc etc.
They've gone for a ride which will be unique, reliable and will have a great back story and excellent...
It's defo not on a par with some of the big recent investments such as Skyrush and Fahrenheit. But they've got plenty of top draw coasters and attractions to keep people coming back without having to worry about needing a big new showstopper for a while.
Yes, it's a bit tacky, but it's a solid...
I remember hearing this vaguely a while back (along with a brand new entrance to the park), but I'm really excited it's happening now. They have a great selection of rides to cater for a wide audience, and now they'll have something at the very top end of their ride catalogue.
Not having the monorail at all would be a real shame. It really helps build up the magic on the approach to the park, and there's scant little of it around the park on a normal day.
On quieter days it's not such a big loss to keep it closed, but on busy days it's a really useful ride to not...
Always wondered what happened to this, it seemed to disappear off the face of the earth.
Guess there's still a slim chance it could be finished but it would need someone with more money than sense to bankroll it.
^That's exactly why Tatsu can have long waits. Magic Mountain's operations are far from the best!
Tempesto has a 3 car train which helps a bit. But if this turns out to have VR, unless they staff this ride sufficiently it will be a even longer wait for an already low capacity ride. It would...
