Visited Flamingo Land at the weekend and have to say it feels really neglected.
Sik was walk on except they would lock you into the restraints and then you'd be sat there locked in for 10 minutes before enough people were on the train for them to send it.The rear couple air gates were not...
Yeah I get the feeling you're right on that - although I think The Ultimate did a lot of good for the park, but probably not enough to counteract the cost of it!
I think The Ultimate was initially a fairly cheap project that then escalated into a bit of a nightmare for them to get fully finished...
Such a depressing sight. There was always something so special about The Ultimate. Everything about it was just different, and wierd. And that big wooden station that could hold 2 full trains is really cool.
Sad to hear, I remember going to a few Valley Mania meet ups. The park felt like it had so much potential back then, to then kinda stagnate for all this time until the ride removals.
I suppose that says it all about the GP - the park has removed so much over the last 5 years, and let a lot of...
Imagine complaining about someone else complaining.
If you're going to add a cool effect why not do it properly. It looks great but just seems unfinished.
As usual Merlins amazing attention to detail and great planning. FFS
Yeah it looks to be a great idea but not executed that well. Why don't all of them move? Why do they move like an 80's ghost train effect and not something made in 2024? Every tooth moving randomly would look amazing.
It just feels like the place is run with no proper communications between departments, teams, or between people like Amanda who doesnt even know half of what's going on and objects when she finds out.
She manages to keep herself in line most of the time but now and again she likes to write some really ridiculous stuff.
Some of it really shows how things work at BPB - Sometimes things are changed, and she'll go on twitter and write how she doesnt like it. Like, seriously, maybe be more...
If its like any of the other woodies at BPB, I think the cushions, seat bases easily pull out on all of them.
You'd think they would think of a way to stop this happening randomly though.
Yeah I was going to say, i've seen all the young enthusiasts getting all riled up about this on Twitter but it sounds like the release part is the dodgy bit and they know its unrelated to the actual safety/locking of the restraints.
Still extremely unprofessional to be telling people worrying...
Yeah, although I think a lot of factors come into it. Raptor Attack had those metal stairs going to/from the ride which were pretty corroded I recall. The damp environment probably wasnt great for health and safety stuff or the rides condition.
I can see them buying something like this cheap...
Yeah it is classic Flamingo Land to do something like that.
Although i'd imagine its more of a case they're going to cut the bit of the ride that goes out into the enclosure area and just have the ride take a 90 degree turn towards the lift immediately.
I can't see them literally reconstructing...
