It does still look kinda slow, but with each test run it seems to speed up. The whole element takes about 12 seconds to complete right now, compared to around 10 seconds on Intamin's animation. That animated POV looks like it has great whip so I definitely think this will ride faster than it...
Calamity is still fine imo, Weerwolf on the other hand is in need for a retrack. Doesn’t really matter to me whether GCI or RMC does it: the layout isn’t bad and provides a lot of airtime so with a smoother ride and lapbars that don’t try to break your bones the ride would be really good. Of...
According to looopings, you'll hear audio based on Hans Zimmer's Tomorrowland soundtrack during the ride... I wonder if they mean this as if the ride will feature onboard audio, that would be amazing. Even if it doesn't, it will still be cool to have that soundtrack around the area.
Work has resumed after the winter break 😍
Seems like they are doing lots of terrain works around the queue line, good to see! If you look closely you can also spot green speakers on the ground. It’s hard to tell, but are the wooden panels around the last bunny hills supposed to be fencing...
Am I the only one who never noticed that there would be pathways under the first half of the ride? I thought this whole area would be blocked off, this is so much cooler! Credit: bioreconstruct
Yeah, like with the station, the shotcrete will be painted after it has been formed around the metal/concrete sub structure of the infrastructure/theming elements. The station had a dull grey look to begin with as well, but that looks much better now already. In addition, many wooden details as...
Yeah there could indeed be something wrong but I think it's supposed to sound like that, the ARS is essentially metal slamming on metal so it's rather loud by default. Look at Steel Vengeance's ARS for example ;) On the other hand, this is much louder than Intamin's other newer installations...
It's completely normal, that sound is made by the anti rollback system. As the train crests the hill, it gains speed and the rattling of the ARS produces a louder sound as the metal piece on the underside of the train which it consists of slams against the anti rollback teeth on the lift hill...
I think ThrillsExpreds is just joking around ;) It's a bit of a meme in this community to comment on test rides saying it's slow. I think it has a really good pace already, except for the non-inverting cobra roll which does look slow, but that'll surely change as it warms up. As for the ride...
