Toverland will no longer operate with only the indoor areas open. That means that whenever the park is open from now on, including December and early January, all rides (including Fenix, Troy, Dwervelwind, etc.) will be operating. The park will instead fully shut at certain times of year, mostly during winter, to allow for general maintenance. According to the park, this is a way to put them on more equal footing with their competitors, as visitors will no longer visit Toverland during open days and find the outdoor areas shut at certain times of year.

This also means that the old Land of Toos entrance will be permanently retired, and visitors will now enter through Port Laguna regardless of season.

Possibly something to keep an eye: Walibi Belgium are having problems with their neighbours.

(sorry for the ooooooo source)

In short:
-Walibi Belgium had issues with their neighbours in the past (which caused problems with investments in the late 00s / early 2010s)
-In 2018, the park had a new permit which allowed an increase in the ambient noise the park could produce (from 55dB to 60dB), as well as some extra noise allowed in the evenings for events.
-This permit has now been revoked, follows complaints from locals.

What this means, I don't know. If, theoretically, newer rides which cause noise which exceeds the old ambient noise level, I wonder if that could cause some operations issues for those rides? Or if it will just end up affecting opening hours?

So yeah, maybe something to keep an eye on.
Maybe our resident Walibi Belgium expert has more of an idea @KristofWB ?

As a result of the revoked permit, the pre-2018 situation is now in effect again. The previous permit dates from 2015, so attractions build after this, like Tiki Waka and Kondaa, will have to remain closed. Hopefully there will be a solution once the park reopens within 1 month...

Ah, brilliant :) (The Toverland news, not the Belgium bit) - I was considering a trip there for Xmas this year instead of Germany.

As for Belgium, it's to be hoped that's sorted by May (for... purely selfish reasons)

Lets hope its sorted sooner than that given the park invested a fortune, completing a multi year plan during a pandemic, shortly to be struck by devastating floods and this nonsense.

The work happening at Movie Park Germany by the new coaster and rapids discussed previously is indeed a shop replacement:

It seems like Toverland are set to introduce some sort of permanent camping-like accommodation from next year, with a Greek theme, following the success of temporary pop-up options over the past couple of years.

It doesn't sound like a full hotel, which has long been part of their masterplan, buy definitely a step in the right direction.

Kolmården will be closing their dolphin habitat within the next few years and distribute their current population to other parks and aquariums. The park is doing this as a part of their shift in focus to keeping and preserving endangered species over more common breeds. Two males approaching sexual maturity need to be separated from the rest of the herd, but the goal is to keep the others together as much as possible.

Heide Park is closing it's observation tower. The ride did not open in 2020 or 2021.
