Jurassic World VelociCoaster confirmed

September 28, 2020 – Construction within the Jurassic Park area at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Florida, started over a year ago. In recent months, a towering roller coaster has evidently been under construction – it was hard to miss! After plenty of online speculation , Universal has finally broken their silence and confirmed “Jurassic World VelociCoaster”, a new roller coaster opening in Summer 2021.

Billed as the tallest and fastest launch roller coaster in Florida, Jurassic World VelociCoaster, will be based on both the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies. The coaster, created by Intamin, is expected to be story based ride experience featuring cast appearances from the movie franchise. Riders will race alongside raptors in an intense journey through winding terrain above ground and water, on over 4,700 feet (1,432.5m) of track, reaching speeds of up to 70 mph (112.5 km/h). The ride will feature four inversions and two launches.
