Two new coasters for Tripsdrill

Cleebronn, Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany

November 2, 2019 – We knew it was coming ever since the construction site sprang up near the parking lots, but Erlebnispark Tripsdrill still managed to surprise us by announcing that not one, but two new roller coasters will be opening at the park in 2020. Many details were revealed about the rides, other than the names.

Both intertwined coasters are being designed and manufactured by Vekoma. The Family Boomerang will feature a 72 foot (22m) drop and reach speeds up to 37 mph (60 km/h) while going forwards and backwards along 1,640 feet (500m) of track. The prototype Suspended Thrill Coaster (STC) features a 98 foot (30m) drop that will propel riders at a top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h) through four inversions, all while being suspended under 2,625 feet (800m) of track.

The coasters will be highly themed along the Schwäbisch traditions of the park, with details to be announced at a later date.
