Texas Stingray opens to rave reviews

San Antonio, Texas, USA

February 22, 2020 – Texas Stingray, the tallest, fastest and longest wooden coaster in the Lone Star State, is the first new coaster for 2020 to open to the public. Riders across the board praised the ride, with many claiming it to be the best GCI (Great Coasters International) in America. The videos below show how great the ride really is.

The hybrid wooden coaster has a 96 foot (29m) tall lift hill with a 57°, 100 foot (30.5m) drop thanks to the elevated terrain the coaster is built on. Reaching a top speed of 55 mph (88.5 km/h), the ride also features large 76° banked turns, 16 different airtime hills and a 100 foot (30.5m) long tunnel along its 3,379 feet (1030m) of track.

Although our own East Coast(er) General was there for the opening, CoasterForce is hosting a CF-Live here on May 9th and we can’t wait to ride this beast ourselves!
