Scandia closes its doors for good

After 27 years, Scandia Amusement Park west of Los Angeles has ceased operations. The 8 acre park officially closed for renovations earlier in the week, but has since been sold and will not reopen. Most of its rides, including the two coasters, are listed for sale. Scandia’s other two parks, in Victorville and Sacramento, will remain open. Click the headline for more information

Canada’s Wonderland reveal 2019 coaster

Canada’s Wonderland revealed Yukon Striker, a massive B&M dive coaster opening in 2019. At 223 feet (68m) tall, 80 miles per hour (130 km/h), and 3,625 feet (1,105m) in length, it will be the world’s tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster. Its four inversions will also be the most on a coaster of its type and it will have the longest drop at 246 feet (75m). Click the headline for more information
