First ship-board coaster announced

Carnival Cruise Line announced their newest ship, Mardi Gras, will feature the first-ever roller coaster at sea when it debuts in 2020. Bolt: Ultimate Sea Coaster is a Maurer Rides Spike Coaster featuring nearly 800 feet (244m) of track with riders reaching speeds of nearly 40 mph (64 km/h) while racing motorcycle-like vehicles 187 feet (57m) above sea level. Maurer Spinner for Adventureland

Altoona, Iowa, USA

Adventureland near Des Moines, Iowa announced the addition of The Phoenix, a Maurer Rides Spinning Coaster, for the 2019 season. According to park spokesperson Molly Vincent, the coaster will be over 50 feet (15m) tall and reach a top speed of 40 mph (64 km/h) leading to speculation that it will be a SC2000 model. Drayton Manor retires G Force

Drayton Manor confirmed the rumors of the immediate retirement of G Force, the park’s Maurer X-Car coaster. It was the only X-Car coaster in the UK and one of only two coasters of its kind.
