Valkyria opens at Liseberg

Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden

After many construction delays, Liseberg opens Valkyria. This Bolliger & Mabillard dive coaster reaches a height of 152 feet (47 m) and a speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) as it drops 164 feet (50m) through an underground tunnel. Valkyria is the only dive coaster in the Nordic countries and the northernmost B&M coaster in the world. Click the headline for more information

New owner buys Kanonen for resale

Waterloo, Iowa, USA

Kanonen, the Intamin hydraulic launch coaster that served at Swedish park Liseberg from 2005 to 2016, has now been purchased by Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa, USA. However, in a move never seen before, the looping coaster will not be rebuilt at the park, but has instead been stated to be put up for resale.
